Help, I really need advice: fresh EC or transfer?

Hey ladies, I’m badly in need of advice! I have had 4 transfers (5 blasts transferred) that all resulted in chemicals or BFN’s. I still have 6 blasts left over from that batch but they are not great quality (all have C’s in them), have not been tested and were made from frozen eggs, meaning they were frozen twice (and I worry that has affected their quality). I am prepared to give this one last go so am thinking of having another egg retrieval and having any resulting blasts PGT tested to check for chromosomal anormalities. Is this crazy? Should I go down this path or should I use my remaining blasts instead? I keep changing my mind and can’t seem to make a decision. Any thoughts/advice would be greatly appreciated!

@Tarsette Sorry about your previous rounds. I'm just in the middle of my first round so don't have the experience to give advice. Have you spoken to your clinic about it?

How old are you

Your frozen aren’t going to age and can be like a back up iyswim

If you have the money I would do another fresh and pgt test them

@Blondeshavemorefun I’m 41 but have polycystic ovaries so potentially lots of eggs (had a scan last week on day 2 and there were 26 follicles visible). Yes I think I am going to go for fresh transfer as o have read that PGT testing can substantially increase my chances!

Sorry to hear previous rounds haven’t worked out for you. I have also had 3 unsuccessful cycles and was trying to decide between one last frozen one left or fresh cycle. I agree with previous suggestion that frozen ones won’t age and can be a good backup. If money and health doesn’t stand in the way, you might have a better chance doing fresh cycle and testing the embryos before transfer. It would give you a better chance than transferring potentially substandard embryos. It’s heart wrenching to go through a failed transfer so give yourself the best possible shot. Best wishes for your next try, lots of positive energy your way and hope it works.

Thanks for the advice. I am going for a fresh retrieval! Fingers crossed I get some good embryos!
