Needed Clomid for previous pregnancy - what if I try for a second?

I’ve done a bit of Googling but can’t find the answer so hoping someone here may have some insight.

We were lucky enough after 2 years and with a Clomid prescription to have a successful pregnancy and much longed for daughter who is now 18mo.

We are talking about whether to try to have another child. I understand that we may or may not have trouble TTC next time but if we have the same issues, would the timeline be shortened? As in, could I be fast tracked for another referral to fertility centre and/or Clomid prescription? Or do I have to try again for a minimum amount of time first, as if it was my first pregnancy?

For context, my husband is in the military and will be home based for the next 18m, but after that is likely to be deployed. Also I used 2 cycles worth of Clomid previously (I know there are risks with taking Clomid for more than 6 cycles, so potentially have 4 cycles worth “left on my allowance” if it works like that?)

Many thanks for any insights you could offer.

I needed medication for my second too. We tried for about 6 months and then I went to the GP to get myself referred again. I have PCOS so they just did a few bloods for me and my GP referred me on straight away without waiting. I was given clomid again which I didn't respond to so was swapped to letrozole. They do take into account how many previous cycles you've done but I was treated on my individual case rather than what the guidelines say so was given more cycles of letrozole than I was expecting.
Also some places don't offer anything for secondary infertility so you'll need to check what they're able to do.
