Hi All,

After 3 failed IVF cycles with NHS at St Bart’s, looking for a private IVF clinic in London and narrowed down my search to these four. My main issue seem to be low ovarian reserve but again Barts didn’t check everything and just pushed drugs. There arw a lot of conflicting reviews on these clinics (more so on ARGC and CRGH) so I am reaaally confused and would be super grateful to hear your experiences and results and recommendations for these clinics please. Many thanks in advance.

Create get very good results for women with low ovarian reserve and their ethos is lower drugs equal better quality

Hi @MummyDiaries. I've done two fresh cycles with the Lister - I have low ovarian reserve but I always seem to get a good number of eggs. The care is good, I see one consultant who directs all my care - I really like her and she's very contactable and responsive. The nurses and other staff are all lovely too, which is so important as they see you at your most vulnerable.

Having said that, we haven't had any success yet - I have had five chemical pregnancies, so I am considering doing my next egg collection at the Lister and then the subsequent FET and monitoring elsewhere, possibly ARGC, as they apparently have a very good recurrent miscarriage clinic.

We are looking at CRGH for IVF. Has anyone had any experience with CRGH? Which consultant would you recommend? We want someone used to treating women in their late 30's with good outcomes. All advice welcome!

I was diagnosed with a low amh and high fsh when I was 31 and I had a fibroids and a narrow Fallopian tube. I am now 36 and am very lucky to now have a little girl aged 1.5.

I had 1 round of Ivf with the NHS at Queen Charlotte Hospital in Hammersmith, which resulted miscarriage

2 cycles at the ARGC and 3 transfers and the last embryo transferred is now my daughter Smile

After a lot of heart ache ARGC recommended that we PGS test 10 blastocysts, which we had collected from 2 cycles and 3 came back genetically normal - 1 of which was my daughter.

The ARGC is a fantastic clinic. It isn’t for everyone! It is very full on and is a place of last resort for a lot of women but they do get results. Ivf at ARGC isn't for the faint hearted - it involves several blood tests a day, scans and changes in medication based on the blood tests ! I was lucky that I was able to take time off work when doing Ivf at ARGC but I imagine it is very difficult to work at the same time!

Based on my experience I would recommend ARGC. It certainly isn’t a relaxing experience but your Ivf is tailored to your needs and is changed according to what is going on in your body, which is what appealed to me.

Hi,
I went to Lister, after 2 failed cycles at C&W.
They are super nice and much more positive.. which I think is incredible important on this journey. I am currently doing my 2ww after FET from 3rd cycle (which I had at lister).
I haven't had success yet, but lots of people seem to and they often go there after failed attempts elsewhere.

Thank you @hoping2021 and best of luck with your IVF journey x

I am at lister with my wife. We have both had treatment with them. Their medical care is very good, and I agree that the people (doctors, nurses etc) are lovely, positive, supportive and caring. I initially found their admin etc not great but it’s improved a lot in the last two years, and they have also changed care so you see the same people all the way through which is very good.

My wife is currently pregnant on her first transfer (with four in the freezer). I have had a more difficult time but they have always been very good at creating embryos for me - my issue is from there, so we are embryo banking and looking at options while my wife’s pregnancy progresses.

I had looked at changing and had some initial sessions with CRGH who had good results for my age, but a couple of my meetings with them made me very uncomfortable that they were very very focused on how much money they could make from me. I may have just been unlucky. But I decided I couldn’t trust their advice and so chose not to go there. I have never felt that way with Lister.

I also spoke to Evewell about 8 months ago and really liked them, but chose to stay with lister but I was very tempted.

I'm at CRGH. Their accounts department is very on the ball and ensures payment is made in line with their processes (in advance of anything happening). When I was new to this I was a little shocked but when I thought about it, it does make sense. I do the same with clients in my job.

Anyway save for that, I've not found that they haven't pushed anything / recommended investigations or treatments I haven't needed. They are very open about their prices, which I find helpful from a planning perspective.

Overall I'm happy with them and would recommend giving them a try.

Apologies glaring typo. They haven't pushed for things I don't need.

Hi girls, how is everyone doing? Getting opinions on clinics and was wondering which one you recommend? Any comments on the clinic you are with? Thank you in advance!

@hoping2021 I’m currently thinking of changing from c&w to Lister and wondered how they compare to one another? I read in this older post that you had made the switch so thought I’d reach out. Hope you’ve had success in your Ivf journey.

hoping2021 · 06/01/2022 08:53

Hi, I’m much happier at the lister. They are much more thorough, it is my belief that their labs are better too as it was with my third cycle under their care that I got the most blastocysts and 2 pregnancies which I had never had before.
They do finance packages too I understand.
