Gloss paint fumes

Hi All, has anyone been given any advice by their clinic about using gloss paint in the lead up to a FET? We are decorating and I need to paint about 12m of skirting in one room. I know you should avoid the fumes of particular gloss paint when pregnant but I don't want to jeopardise my success of our upcoming FET in ~2 weeks, today is day 1 of cetrotide and tomorrow is my baseline scan!! My other half will screw it up and the room is almost finished, a beautiful navy blue with brilliant white skirting- when its done. I can open the window and the door to the room and the front door which is opposite for a load of fresh air to blow through. Any thoughts? I've looked at the safety data on the paint but nothing states I shouldn't use it, am I just being daft?

Not a daft question.... I’ve wondered this myself. Sorry I don’t know the answer. I stopped wearing deodorant last summer for IVF and moisturizer except on my face, so I’ve put off the decorating. Could you get someone else to do the decorating for you?

@calmcat I mean I wouldn’t just because I stop doing absolutely anything that could affect things during IVF cycles. But realistically it would probably be fine, you can google the material safety data sheet for the product to check it’s definitely safe. You could also wear a mask if you wanted to avoid fumes and ventilate the area.

You could use eggshell paint instead of gloss. It's water based but just as tough, with far less fumes. It still has a slight shine. And it dries much quicker. Sorry, paint nerd here!
