Has anyone had any experience of them whilst being on Clomid? I has 5 which have ruptured and just wondered how long you took to feel better? Mine just feels never ending at the minute. My scan was on Wednesday and 4 had ruptured and my big one was rupturing I felt a bit better yesterday but then had more pain last night and today feel so bloated again

I hope you're feeling better now! I've had several ruptured cysts in the past, two of which have landed me in hospital. Soooo painful! The swelling can take anything from a day to a week to go down, but after IVF egg stimulation my tummy took a month to get back to normal, I was terribly bloated. I have PCOS - linked to the ruptured cysts and the awful swelling post egg retrieval. We got loads of eggs though - one of the few bonuses of having PCOS!

Hey @RollMeOverInTheClover thank you for replying. Cysts are bloody horrid aren't they! I too have PCO and I've had a large normal one before that too landed me in hospital. These have definitely been more painful and caused me more problems but I've been told just to take pain killers at home. Was yours haemorraghic?

I've had 2 that have been haemorrhagic...ugh...I feel for you! There also seems to be no rhyme or reason to them, nothing you can do to stop them and no way to predict them. Luckily they don't seem to happen that often, I've had I think 5 or 6 really bad ones over the past 20 years. Also I don't know anyone else who has had them, though perhaps it just doesn't come up in conversation! I hope you're feeling better now, to be honest when the pain stops I don't really care that much about the bloating and soreness - I'm just so happy the pain has stopped! Wrap yourself up in some soft warm clothing and take it easy - rest (feet up) is important to help the swelling go down. Healing hugs to you!

@RollMeOverInTheClover they say once you have one you're more inclined to get them 😔 I can't find anything on the internet for people having multiple haemorraghic ones. Can you remember if your cycle was normal when you had yours? I feel so confused atm...I'm cd29 today and no sign of AF. My tests are coming back BFN but my fertility nurse says I would have released a egg from each cyst so technically 5 x chance of pregnancy this cycle. I've had a few symptoms this week but because of the cysts I don't know if it's a side effect of them or a pregnancy sign! I just wondered if you can remember if your haemorraghic cysts made your cycles longer? I just want to either come on or get a BFN...hate this not knowing 😕

My periods have always been massively irregular, so I couldn't say if they extended my cycle or not. Clomid is pretty powerful stuff though, so I wouldn't be surprised by odd things happening such as an extended cycle. I took it for a couple of cycles but it turned me into an angry lunatic, so I won't take it again! I found IVF much easier than Clomid, it didn't mess with my head so much. If it works for you, stick with it though, IVF might have been easier on my moods but it's a rollercoaster in itself!
