Anyone experience shortened cycles after IVF?

Hi,

Just turned 39, had first IVF for second child in November. Since then my periods have gone from 28 days to 25 days, sometimes with slight spotting starting at day 23..

Anyone had this?

I'm going in for a second cycle starting end of March and hoping to try and get the cycles a bit longer before then.

Thanks!

Hi
Not exactly the same but wanted to share that I had my first round of IVF in December which unfortunately failed. Normally i have a 28-32 day cycle. I was expecting my period to come late this month since most people's seem to be delayed after IVF and I track my temps and I seemed to ovulate around day 19 however I started spotting on day 25 and my period started on day 28. Which gives me a very short luteal phase (not great as I was already worried it was too short). I am putting it down to the drugs and my body reacting to them. I am going straight into another cycle and figure it won't matter too much about cycle length since the drugs will decide that rather than my body.
Good luck for your second cycle!
xx

a couple of times my period came earlier after a stimulated cycle with EC. Otherwise I am very regular. I think this is normal as after EC there is no natural progesterone from the ruptured follicle to hold up the uterine lining which comes off earlier than usual. This is my understanding.

Forgot to say that after the initial shortened cycle the subsequent cycles may be longer or shorter as it seems to adjust itself back to the normal days? For me it was shorter and longer and then back to normal the first time and it was shorter for a couple of months the second time. Maybe speaking with your doctor can help.
