Going private for Laparoscopy

Currently still waiting for our date letter but with everything going on we're considering having this done privately to push the process along.

Has anyone has this done privately? And would you mind letting me know of the roughy cost and how quickly it was booked? We've guessed around £2.5k but have no idea really.

Any advice appreciated 😊

I have health insurance through work and they were ok about covering it. They don't cover fertility treatment but it's a bit of a fuzzy line if you have something that's causing discomfort that needs looking into. Worth checking.

Hey I had a lap done privately to excise endo (stage 2). I have health insurance so they funded most of it (I chose a more expensive specialist so paid the difference between the health insurance cover and the surgeons costs). I had mine done at the Princess Grace hospital in London and I think the total fees (including hospital fees - stayed in hospital 2 nights) cost approximately £12k.

@laus1234 thanks for your reply lovely 🥰 £12k! Wow!

I guess the 2 night stay over increased the cost!

Our private clinic responded and for the day procedure it would be £2.6k but availability isn't there until spring so same as NHS.

The cost is likely dependent on many different things such as how long your under anaesthetic etc etc. And I guess it depends on what they're doing the lap for 🙂. Deffo go private if you can.❤️

Good luck @2021babyhope
