Vertigo and tinnitus after IVF cycle

Has anyone ever had vertigo and tinnitus brought on by an ivf cycle? I had my first cycle in September, on max stims menopur with daily fragmin, and a few days after the negative pregnancy test I developed vertigo, and tinnitus, which three months on I still can't shift. I've never had these before and I'm generally fit and healthy.

Has anyone else had either of these? I'm hoping it's temporary!

I think it unlikely this relates to your IVF cycle - have you been to your GP? The vertigo combined with tinnitus is a little concerning and should be checked out. If your GP is not concerned (or seems unsure what is going on), it might be worth seeing a physiotherapist who specialises in vestibular rehabilitation to help improve your situation. GPs are understandably not always experts in this area and can be a bit vague with diagnoses/treatments sometimes. There are a some vestibular physios within NHS services, depending on your location, or you can find private clinicians through a Google search. Make sure they specialise in vestibular rehab though 👍 It will get better, but you will likely benefit from some rehab to help it along. Hope you start to feel better soon, they are rotten symptoms to struggle with 😢

Thanks for the tips @MGee123 - I'd held out seeing my gp as I'm in one of the worst areas for covid and everyone I called I was in a massive queue so felt they had more important things to deal with, but I have got an appointment for this week.

I was suspicious about a hormonal impact as I commonly get vertigo just before my period as do a couple of other women I know, and it seems it's more prevalent in perimenopause.

It seems finding a root cause can be a minefield so I was digging around for clues to present the gp, but I guess you're right.

Thanks!
