Got my PGS results - can anyone help?

Sent off x3 top quality blasts for PGS (5AA and x2 3AA) and the clinic called today. Results were 1 abnormal, 1 no dna detected, 1 non informative.

I was told chances of no dna detected was 2% and wasn’t even told about non informative as a potential result - I was told normal abnormal or mosaic.

Does it seem likely all are actually abnormal? Does being in the

@ForeverAintEnough So sorry to hear this. As you know from our other thread, i can't comment fully as i don't have PGS results experience yet, but i found this info online if it helps - points 8 and 9.

Thanks @IslandStars I wasn’t going to post directly on our other thread as I didn’t want to worry you when you don’t have any results yet. I will have a read of that document. Clinic were very unhelpful and I am now frantically googling.

@ForeverAintEnough Thanks for the kind thought. Could you keep the non informative frozen incase you need it and then retest further down the line? I think this is why PGS can be more helpful with embryo banking, as the odds should work in your favour in the end and get a normal one.

I've known several people re test their no result embryos - survival rate for re biopsy has generally been good but is obviously is still a risk. You'd need to clarify with your clinic whether they would except the re test results as some don't.

To be honest if it was me I'd just transfer the two no results in a double transfer

I PGS tested and didn't get any normals either (age 36). I opted to transfer the 1 mosaic we had but it was a BFN. I decided not test anymore and am pregnant with twins from the next egg collection with 2 untested blastocysts. I'm pretty sceptical of PGS now

Thanks @ivfbeenbusy we are trying to get an appointment with a genetic counsellor to figure out what’s going on. I’m 34 so young like yourself and would’ve expected 1-2 of the 3 to be normal so we are so shocked. 1 at least anyway!

Did you change protocol at all from the round you did PGS to the next round? I’ve read that sometimes less is more for women who’ve had all abnormal and I was on max dose of Stims. And do you mind me asking if you have done any harmony tests etc on your twins and all ok? It could be that they would’ve come back normal in that round?

Still can’t believe it this morning. My DH is a statistician and he worked out that the chances of us getting those results were 0.4% so less than half a percent chance of that outcome. Which is another blow on top of being in the % of people who need ivf, the % who need more than 3 rounds of ivf (next round will be round 5) and now the 0.4% of people who get our PGS outcome. The ivf fun never ends.

@ForeverAintEnough

Actually I did change protocol. The PGS tested blastocysts were from short protocol IVF.
I did 2 rounds of that and my egg quality was shown to be pretty poor so out of 28 eggs less than 30% fertilised and ended up with 4 average blastocysts

After my PGS results we changed to natural modified IVF and did a 3 cycle package.
Total 9 eggs 100% fertilised and 4 top quality blastocysts- 2 from the first egg collection are my twins.

I did opt for the NIPT test and all results came back low risk

I only did PGS because I'd had 5 previous miscarriages and it was the last test we could do to try and get some answers.

I suppose my twins could have been PGS normal but I think the chances are small given not having any normals previously and then to get 2 follicles 2 eggs and both be "normal" a couple of months later

Thanks for all the information and for taking the time to reply @ivfbeenbusy - I have lots to think about and to discuss with consultant. It’s never straight forward!!
