Hi,

Has anyone had a HyCosy 3D that lead to natural conception that month?

Thanks

Hello,

I had a HyCoSY but unfortunately it did not lead to a BFP for me, although I have heard lots of people say you are extra fertile in the three months after the procedure as it can clear things out :)

Thanks for your response. Clinic said it does increase chances so I have my fingers crossed.
Is it usual to feel nauseous hours later :(

I don't remember feeling sick :( it was back in Feb though so it's been a while. I think I felt strange after but I had been over thinking things in my head majorly.

Did they give you your results while you were there?

Nichola2310 · 25/11/2020 19:55

I had my hycosy last week and the consultation said it doesn't make you any more fertile but I'm still hopeful!

Yes they gave me results today at the scan, all clear with no issues or blockages. They can see a scar from my prior c section but nothing they think will be a problem!

Yes me ! I fell pregnant that month with my little girl

That was 9 yrs ago mind and now have secondary infertility

I had a hycosy 2 months ago, didn't fall pregnant which I was hoping like the 1st time but mid cycle at the moment so you never know

Yes I felt incredibly sick after ! I didn't have that with my 1st hycosy or if I did I couldn't remember

It did pass but was a good 24 hrs
Knocked me for six actually so i was quite surprised

Sending baby dust for you xx

Thanks so much @strawberrysummer19 :) babydust to you too!!

Yes this is secondary infertility for me :(

Fell so easy with baby one, and now struggling for a sibling.

The HyCosy really knocked me too! Felt so faint and sick afterwards and also some upset tummy, maybe it's the nerves abs the antibiotics!

I'd love to have a BFP by Christmas Day!

Ah strange, my consultant said if it has flushed out blockages or removed mucus it can improve fertility for the three months afterwards. I suppose if the HyCosy had nothing to flush or move then the conditions haven't been improved. I had some mucus in my tubes, particularly my right tube so I'm hoping that in my specific case everything has had a spring clean 😂

This is so reassuring to read! I'm going to have one next month and when we saw the fertility Dr on Thursday she said other than my OH having suboptimal morphology were really healthy and should be able to conceive naturally. It's been 2 years for baby number 1 hopefully this is the push we need. Good luck to everyone! 🥰

1940s · 04/12/2020 23:03

Best of luck @MrsLA88. I'm in my two week wait now after having less sex than I'd have wanted to due to the HyCosy

A doctor told me that the flushing out benefit also depends on what liquid they're using - she said a lot of nhs services are just using water-based ones which won't do much to flush things out. Not sure if that applies to other trusts/boards though.

1940s · 04/12/2020 23:34

Interesting point in the liquid used.... I went private so not sure what they used!
I'm ovulating on the earlier side of normal for me. Wonder if that's typical?

This happened to me August 2019. DS now 7 months.

I'll never know if it was the HyCosy or if it would have happened anyway, but it clearly didn't do any harm!
