Frequency of DTD with low motility

Hi all

My DH recently got his SA back and has low
Motility (count and morphology are normal). Does anyone know whether it is better to DTD every day or every other day with low motility? I know for a low sperm count it is every other day that is recommended, but I can't find out about low motility only.

Thanks!

I'd probably also say every other day. Although if you were giving a sample for eg IVF or before a sperm test the advice is to have sex no longer than 5 days before but no less than 36 hours before which suggests there is a specific window to get the best quality (although at my IVF clinic they recommend no later than 2-3 days before to reduce risk of dna fragmentation which isn't something they test for in normal sperm tests)

Thank you @ivfbeenbusy. Yes perhaps every other day is better than every day. We had been DTD every other day this
Month and did so yesterday. I've had a positive opk today so feels like we should be DTD tonight - it almost doesn't feel quite right to not!

My DH had slow motility and low morphology- we used to do every other night when clearblue dual Hormone tests had a "flashing smiley" and then the night of the peak and the one after (depending on if we were knackered!)

Yes that's perhaps a good compromise @ivfbeenbusy. We're intending to give ourselves the next six months to try to conceive naturally. After that we'll move on to ivf (self funded) so we want to make sure we give it our best shot
