Been trying to conceive for 3 years now. Didn’t have a period for months and months (This has been on going since I started my periods), got prescribed Provera, had my period 5 days after last pill. Had my day 21 blood test that came back ‘satisfactory’. Does that mean I won’t get any more help from my doctors? Can someone please comment with your experiences. I’m really upset about thinking I won’t get some more help. I also had to call a week after not hearing anything about my results, like they just tossed to the side cz they were ‘satisfactory’ 😭

Hi, day 21 test is usually progesterone so the ‘satisfactory’ result suggests you had a level that indicates you ovulated that cycle. This is just a guess though as I can’t see any of your results. That said one blood test alone isn’t enough to investigate difficulty conceiving. Have they done day 2-5 blood tests? Checked your thyroid function? An ultrasound? Any mention from Drs of PCOS if you’ve always had very long cycles? Or discussion about getting a sperm analysis for your partner? I’d go back to your GP and ask what next steps are. Good luck x

How long have you been trying for?
They should also get your partner to do an SA. If you have been trying 2+ years (different areas have different requirements) and nothing then they will refer you to local fertility clinic.

Coming back satisfactory doesn't mean you won't get more help. My day 21s were fine, partners SA fine etc and we were referred to fertility. They just need to check that first as it could be something they could help with prior to going to the clinic
