Sorry I can't answer any questions on costs as I am NHS funded but first cycle was really great - couldn't fault the team. 2nd cycle, on reflection, I am disappointed as like yourself I have a low ovarian reserve - I got one day-5 embryo and a large fibroid was found on my fist scan. The cycle and transfer went ahead and was unsuccessful, the reason given was fibroid effecting the uterus - well that was known at transfer so why continue?
Other than that, I have felt relaxed, given the time to discuss my worries, research and treatment add ons - which I have not been encouraged to purchase, in fact, the consultant said it was a waste of money for my circumstances.
I don't feel that I have been treated any differently to a private patient - tho possibly cycle 2 would have resulted in a freeze if I was private - who knows.
Waiting times are very low and the nurses are absolutely lovely. They are nurse led once you have seen the consultant but the nurses will not hesitate to call in the consultant for further guidance if required.
They don't do lots of tests and checking during the cycle (only what they deem as needed), so on one hand this will save you money but on the other, if it doesn't work may leave you wondering if more could have been done.
I have both Dr Coates and Walker - both are lovely, easy to talk with and open to all ideas - whilst not trying to push additional extras on you.
Hopefully that has answered some of your questions - please feel free to ask as many as you like :)
