Hi lovely people, hope all is well.

I stumbled upon a clinic called "abc ifv" in a Daily Mail article and since I've been searching up for options to get IFV treatment (including going to Latvia as they seem to have lots of cheap options) I checked their site. They offer a all-inclusive package of only £2500!

I wondered if anybody heard anything about this place?

Thank you xx

Hi OP there are also two threads on here on ABC. Not sure how to link them, but you can Google search through the forums to find them. I am looking at using ABC in the new year. Good luck!

They are the sister clinic to the highly rated Create and actually egg collection and transfers get done at Create

ABC have good success rates and keep costs low nexuses they have fairly strict acceptance criteria, age, BMI, AMH, etc

Good afternoon. @Jikus
I used abc at the beginning of the year and have recently used they sister clinic for a FET.
Abc do have a package for £2500 but they have a strict criteria and are extras which need to be considered. Our First appointment was £200, this is the appointment they let you know if you fit the criteria, if you do you will be so blood test done with are £30 each and you oh my be asked to do a semen test which was £80, if you are lucky enough to get some to freeze, freezing and storage is £995 (which we nearly decided not to do)and if you need isci this is also an extra £1000, also if a cycle is cancelled for any reason you are made to pay for the scans you have had which cost us £250 each.
Our fresh cycle didn’t work but luckily we had two frozen embryos in storage, once Clinics opened up, we started our FET which is done by create this cost £1350 + medication (which was cost £415 up to now, and need to keep taking for another few weeks)
My first FET was cancelled but luckily my second has ended up in my bfp and thing seem to be going ok at the moment.
Sorry for the long post, just wanted to give you has much detail as possible, I wish I had known more before I went they thinking it was only £2500. If you have any question feel free to ask and good luck!! Xxx

@Jikus the criteria is under age 37, a body mass index of below 30 and AMH (ovarian reserve) of over 12 - which you will only know from a blood test.

Hi

I'm with ABC. I have mixed feelings. I was with Wimbledon and during my stims I eas not happy with the scans. The lady didn't ever talk to me during the scans and I'm pretty sure she triggered me too late. One of my follicles was 21mm.

I spent 250 for consultation, 2500 for IVF plus 1000 for freezing embryos, plus 750 for discounted FET because fresh cycle resulted in OHSS.

So for 4500 I wish I had gone elsewhere where they can really tailor your needs. Deep down I feel like their criteria is strict, so they can over stim you and that can result in them making you pay for FETs because of OHSS.

I don't rate them highly, and once you total up the costs you're better off finding another clinic that is consultant led, rather than inexperienced nurse led which is what i feel ABC is.

Hi @user1475505106 we are really disappointed to hear about your experience at our Wimbledon clinic. Our Medical Director would like to discuss this with you further to find out what happened. Please email [email protected] or call 0330 0580 800. I will let them know to expect to hear from you to arrange to speak with our Medical Director. Best wishes, abc

Wow £250 per ultrasound is pretty steep, especially if it is a nurse-led clinic.

I've been having ultrasounds as a private patient in several clinics as I travel quite a bit and have paid between £120 and £150 at actual fertility clinics, for £150 that was with a consultant doing the scan, and £135 at Ultrasound Direct branches where most of the people working there are also NHS sonographers.
Wessex Fertility did quote me £250 so I avoided them.

For the prices with the added costs I'd prefer a more tailored approach. That said if you get a baby at the end of it you wouldn't mind!

Hello! It sounds like everyone has different experiences here, and even when it comes to costs.

We paid £100 for the consultation, £2.5k for a round of IVF, an extra 1k for freezing for a full year (which we were informed about in the consultation so that wasn’t a surprise and I’m greatful I actually had some to freeze!) our round sadly didn’t work (I have quite complex issues even though I meet the criteria) so we now have to pay just over a grand to have another frozen transfer (first go with them was a frozen embryo, due to Covid we had to freeze our eggs)

With all that being said, I’ve had a brilliant experience with them so far, although we didn’t get the result we wanted, I have lots of trust in them and they’ve really made me feel very reassured the whole way through.

A year before this, we qualified for a free round on the NHS and I can only compare these two rounds, so although I am grateful for the free round on the NHS, my experience has been worlds apart and ABC is like being at a 5 star hotel. So I guess it depends what your expectations are. I didn’t have any! So maybe that’s why they seem so great to me.

We chose ABC after much research into many clinics, including ones abroad and also weighing up costs for each, ABC came out on top. (Were at the Manchester one)

It took me about 10 months to decide on our next clinic after the NHS round, there’s no right or wrong answer I’m afraid. Before we decided to go to a different clinic completely, we got a quote to see how much it would be to stay with the NHS clinic and it was going to cost us 8k! So even without the small extras We’ve paid, were still better off, and for me personally, I’ve had better scan results and better quality embryos this time around. So it really is dependant on the individual if you ask me. Hope that helps! Xx
