Hi all, I recently had my first FET after a freeze all collection in June. My clinic uses progynova from CD2, scans on CD9/10, and if ET is >7mm they start you on progesterone pessaries for 5 days before embryo transfer. Their protocol is quite rigid.
My ET measured 7.3mm on the scan, and 'looked good' with triple layer etc. I flagged up to the Nurse that I had read that an ET of 8-10mm is more likely to lead to success and requested that I have a few more days of oestrogen to get it into this range. The clinic would not let me do this and insisted that I proceed with the time scale already prescribed.
The FET failed despite the embryo being good quality. I am keen to go again as we have a few frozen embryos left. However I am worried that they will continue with the same protocol again and I don't want to waste another good embryo by putting it into a suboptimal endometrium. I do of course understand that the FET could have failed for many reasons, and sometimes it really is just down to luck.
What ET does your clinic aim for? Did your clinic change/add anything if you had a failed FET? Am I worrying about this for no reason? Any thoughts appreciated! Thank you!
