Would you drive a long way after embryo transfer?

My transfer has been delayed (hoping it will be next week) as my lining isn't thick enough. We were meant to be driving 5 1/2 hrs minimum to holiday this Saturday for 2 weeks. If my transfer does happen early next week we were hoping to go soon after. I've tired googling driving long distances after transfer and most of what I can find is not relevant. One website does say no long journeys for at least 5 days and no bumpy roads Hmm but that does seem to be the only site I can find that says to limit journeys.

When would you travel such a distance after transfer? I hope I'm just overthinking this and should just go on holiday! Would do regular stops for a bit of a walk around for blood flow. I could drive for 2 hours straight after transfer and stay with a family member that night to break up the journey.

We can't reschedule the trip. It's the end of August or next year and we could really do with a break!

Plenty of people fly home after embryo transfer abroad, I would go for it and enjoy the rest of the holiday but you can always speak to your clinic for advice.

I would! Unless it's going to be a really bumpy journey I can't see why it would be a problem - after all we are fairly still in bed for 8 hours at a time Smile

Thank you both. I've been worried about the normal vibrations of a car meaning the embryo won't be able to implant Blush. I'm ridiculous aren't I!

I'll ask the nurse at my scan tomorrow. I'm tempted to drive late evening more or less straight after the transfer.

It has been proven that really doesn’t matter what you do after et

Sitting in a car will be fine

Going over a bump won’t dislodge the embroyo if it’s has attached

Someone once described it as a grain of salt in a peanut butter sandwich....even if you chucked it up in the air it most likely wouldn’t budge!

I heard that about it being sand in a jam sandwich. I was worried it might not get to the jam Blush. My lining hasn't thickened at all so my cycle has been cancelled anyway; at least I can go on my long journey free of jam and peanut butter worries.

Oh @seven201 that is disappointing news, I'm sure you could do with a holiday now.
Hope you can return refreshed and ready to start again when possible.
