Anyone had Private Fertility Tests

I'm at my whits end :(
Been trying for 19 months now. I'm 25 and my partners 28.
Had a drs appointment in May and didn't hear back from anyone in regards to getting my bloods taken but I'm wondering whether it's worth me getting private fertility tests as I know there'll be a delay with the NHS with the Covid situation.
I've found a company called 'Manchester Fertility' near me who offer a couples test for £395.
Has anyone done this?
If I have any fertility issues, would I be able to take these results to the NHS GP and bypass that part of the testing?

You are still young so I would get in touch with your gp again. Many areas won’t refer you for anything more invasive (if needed) until 24 months trying anyway. But if you can afford it then you could get it done, not sure if your GP would need to do repeat tests anyway but if there were a problem then you could at least mentally prepare and could ask your go look into things like Chlomid etc before going onto anything more.

@Katlow be persistent with your GP - I got lost in the system and had to chase up/remind them more than once. But it might be worthwhile getting private tests done anyway if you can afford it

Agree that at your age the NHS will Likely make you wait until 24 months. I would go private if you are concerned there is an issue and want to know what's going on and actually the private tests are generally more involved than what the NHS usually offers.

I know the private clinics will accept NHS test results but not sure if it works the other away around

I'd try again with your GP - try a different one if needs be

Hi, we had our tests with Manchester Fertility last week. We have our consultation on Wednesday with the Consultant. The scan identified something not picked up in my initial NHS testing. Hopefully my husbands results and my amh are ok. I think it's worth the money myself x

Depends on what they test and what you would 'do' with the information.

Do the tests tell you how likely you are to respond to ivf drugs? Because ultimately at your age, thats all amh and fsh will tell you.

Does this include a test of your tubal patency? (Hsg or hycosy?)

If those tests don't flag anything , what would your next steps be? If they do flag something, what would your next steps be? If they'd be lifestyle changes, make them anyway.

Preliminary tests like these don't raise an issue for the majority of people. Might be worth a sperm analysis though...
