Looking for stories of natural conception after an ASA diagnosis? Long story short: husband and I TTC for 2 years and diagnosed (or rather not) as unexplained infertility. Both fit and healthy, not big drinkers or smokers etc etc, periods like clockwork and all hormone levels and sperm analysis normal. First round IVF they got an astonishing 38 eggs but only 5 fertilised with 2 making it past day 3 however they failed to reach blastocyst stage (I was a OHSS risk so was going to have to freeze). Second round we did ICSI and managed to get 2 frosties,1 FET failed and the other has resulted in my amazing DS who is now 20mths. I would love another baby but DH is very reluctant to go through IVF again (emotional trauma). Going back over all our test results I’ve come to the conclusion that it could be ASA’s especially as DH had childhood trauma (2x operations) to his testes, however in the first IVF we did have 5 that fertilised naturally and I wondered if there may be some chance it could happen for us (even at a rate of only 5% fertilisation). Anyone have any stories?
