Is this an NHS clinic? If so it's great they are doing the karyotyping as usually it's only offered privately and costs about £500 per couple

The other tests are looking for known issues that can cause recurrent miscarriage like sticky blood or thyroid or autoimmune issues

Hi @tinkerbell999 I’m currently waiting for my Karyotyping results as I had my 3rd miscarriage 10 days ago. The hospital sent the tissue off for testing. I have been referred to gynaecology too as we don’t have a recurrent miscarriage clinic where I live yet (South Wales) I’ll be asking for the bloods done that you have had as I’ve read these are the most common ones that they offer. I hope you get some answers x

There are a few that are also useful such as vitamin D and insulin. I wish it'd list individual tests rather than "screening" as it's not clear what exactly will be tested. I'm also surprised I'm not seeing TSH.

TTC2016 · 25/07/2020 08:01

^^ yes TSH and don't let them tell you anything under 4 is ok, it needs to be under 2 for fertility purposes

Last time I had my thyroid tested it was at 25 apparantly should be 2.5 for healthy pregnancy so I'm like 10 times what it should be they upped my meds I've now gone other way I'm 0.8 was told so many times thyroid doesn't cause miscarriage but according to internet it does .. x

NHS told me anything under 4 is ok but my IVF clinic are quite adamant about it. I think 0.9 is ok Smile

TTC2016 · 25/07/2020 08:56

*0.8 is ok
