Confused by my laparoscopy results? Womb septum?

Helllo

I had a laparoscopy this morning for endometriosis and recurrent miscarriage.

This is my 3rd lap and during 1st and 2nd ones they successfully lasered endometriosis from my womb, bowel and bladder.

This time, they said there is no endometriosis to clear??? Even though I'm in agony and have the exact symptoms that I've always had, strange but has seemed 10 times worse in the past 12-18 months than ever before.

I'm so confused they found absolutely no endo, I was diagnosed between stage 3 & 4 and haven't had any removal in the past 3 years but did have an ERPC in February.

My brain is one big middle

They said I also have a slight womb septum but didn't really elaborate and I was dozing off due to the anaesthetic!

Septum's are common and rarely says issues (especially if slight).

Can't comment on them not finding endo...

@physicskate she said it could be the cause of my miscarriages

Only if the embryos were implanting in the septum itself (as blood flow would soon become insufficient). But this is rare. Even rarer for this to be the cause of multiple miscarriages. But not impossible.

I would complain to PALS if you were treated in an NHS hospital, being told about the findings post lap like this is totally unacceptable. You should ideally be given another appointment post lap, say a week later, to discuss the findings.

My guess is that they’ve missed something fundamental here, endo as well does not always present typically and it could well be it has been missed. Did they check it all thoroughly, the pouch of Douglas for instance?. That can be an endo site too.

@AttilaTheMeerkat I'm NHS but was operated on in a private hospital as they could only reschedule my op there. I've been in so much pain, the consultant/surgeon I'm under wasn't even the one who operated it was a different gynae consultant/surgeon who I've never seen before and only found out after the op itself.

I'm so confused that there was no endo showing, I've had it removed twice in 3 years previously and this is the 3rd year since I've had it done, doesn't make sense that there was none there but how would I prove it is? I mean I can only take their word for it, it doesn't make sense how I've been in agony in my pelvis, tummy, bleed heavily with clots just like when endo was present each time.

I'm completely confused and only saw them once when I was on morphine and had just come back from recovery hence why I was falling asleep as she was talking.

I have a check up in 6 weeks, I'm even more confused that they've somehow missed my womb being an abnormal shape after many surgeries, scans and ERPCs.

Thank you xx
