I see a lot of posts from people are further down the line...

Anyone just starting out ? I'm right at the beginning of starting tests and thought be nice to buddy up at this stage - no one
From my outside circle knows yet and feeling like it would be nice to talk to other people going through same

I'm TTC for a second baby. Had natural pregnancy with ex husband 9 yrs ago

Look forward to hearing from you

I’m 31, been trying for roughly 3 years, no contraception for well over 5.

We’ve started initial tests, so far I’ve had all the bloods (feel like my arms spin cushion), an ultrasound, and just about to book privately for hsg as the Nhs clinics haven’t started up near us yet.

OH has had a semen analysis that shows sub fertility due to low motility 😢

@strawberrysummer19 I'm nearly at the end of my initial tests, it has been a journey, and I know it's just the start. It's like an emotional rollercoster, I got diagnosed with a tube issue, I was surprised. Testing is so important.

@Grumpsy hiya and welcome 🙏

@dreamingdream oh sorry to hear that.
I had my referral letter through (from gp to clinic) and the clinic we are going to are still seeing people but I'm awaiting a call back with an app - they said I should receive a call within 10 days but not sure when the actual app will be

So have started TCM yesterday
6 wee my course of acupuncture and have the teas
Have gone to a dr that helps with fertility
She said she has had some success stories so figured it would be good to do something positive and nice and relaxing whilst we wait

What I realised is that after the referral, there are more and more tests required. The testing is a long journey. My testing journey has taken months, the waiting made me depressed at times. But yes, while you wait, acupuncture sounds good.

Good luck with your initial tests journey !

all.
We actually received word last week from our clinic (private) that we can proceed with treatmemt. So now im having to watch loads of online videos and fill out cinsent forms. After that we have an apt with nurse at which apparenlty we pay...all a bit daunting as weve obly spoken with a consultant once and i attended the clinic once for a scan and bloods. So will probably call to chat as there is alot i feel unsure about.
Regarding nhs, i was referred by my gp in February and have still heard nothing. Im in northern Ireland, so not sure if things are just really slow here.
@beachbum85apologies for not replying sooner about tsh levels. Mine were 9.4 in march and i was put on 50mg. By june they were down to 3.1mg, which doctor say is fine but clinic says is above their threshold. Will be retested in september, fingers crossed they have reduced further.
Wishing everyone luck in their journey

Hi All,

Thought I’d join as well because I’m in a similar situation. We’ve decided to go privately so had an initial consultation and now getting all the recommended tests done. Already had bloods done With NHS and had an ultrasound and AMH blood test done this week and OH has his SA next week. Then I’ll have my HSG test once my period starts.
The nurse who did my scan said she couldn’t see any problems and I was very fertile which is positive!
Does anyone know what the next steps usually are once we’ve had all the initial tests? We have a follow up appointment with our consultant at the end of the month so wanted to know what we should expect.

Hey hope you all don't mind if I join.
I've just booked private clinic for a couple weeks time. NHS was taking too long and even though I have an appointment in October, I'd rather just be (hopefully) pregnant by then!

I had cd21 bloods from gp back in March/April and they said they were fine although I have PCOS.
DP had SA which was completely empty :( but we were expecting this as he has had cancer...

Really scared and sad about it all tbh.
