Difference between none implantation and very early chemical pregnancy

This post is a bit grim, so apologies in advance!!
I had a transfer which resulted in a BFN, and have just started to bleed. I did feel like very early on it had implanted but it didn’t work out. My “period” is not like a usual period, which would support this. But I am wondering if this can be a result of the progesterone taken from before transfer, even if it never implanted. Does anybody know?

The reason I care is it has quite a different impact re: the issue I face. If it’s implanted, then that’s five on the bounce that have implanted but not made it past 7 weeks, which causes me different questions to it just not implanting.

Thanks for your thoughts 🙏

Hi

Sorry for your BFN.

There is a difference between the 2. None implantation pretty much means it failed to implant at all. A CP is a early miscarriage so implantation did occur. Whether it failed half way through or the miscarriage happened for other reasons.

As for a heavy period, i normally get a heavy period too after a BFN so id assume its normal.

Without doing a test so early on to see if it was positive, id assume implantation didnt happen. For me, its alot easier to process that than a CP.

Xx

Thanks @Bearsmum15 - I more meant what the “period” looks like, if that makes sense. This one is not like a normal period for me, lots of clots and fibre: I’m wondering if that can be due to taking cyclogest or not?

It could be... i never thought that it could be cyclogest but you could have a point...
I remember assuming my period would be normal after my BFN but it was heavier, more clots and stringy (sorry for the TMI) too.

Thanks @Bearsmum15 - sounds very similar!
