How long between FETs?

Google has confused me. I've just done a failed FET round (official test day is tomorrow, but 99.9% sure it's not worked). We have one more embryo to use. How long do clinics make you wait until the next FET round. They wanted me to wait 3 cycles after a fresh cycle until current FET (delayed due to corona anyway). I'd like to do it at the end of July, but I think they'll say it must be end of August or later?

Also, my clinic like you to use norethisterone at the end of the cycle before, so that month is cancelled out of natural trying. Do all clinics do that? I don't really understand why. The doctor says it helps give everything a bit of a clear out?

Thank you in advance. I'm in that slightly mad place at the moment where I just want to know where I stand; not that you ever can with infertility. Aghhhhh.

I only ever do non medicated FET and I've always been able to do transfers after the next period so around 6 weeks. That's the absolute quickest but if you must do a medicated cycle then it's going to be a much longer process

I have had miscarriages each time from mine so I don’t know if that makes a difference but my clinic have only ever made me wait one full cycle (so one normal period and then can go again)

Hmmmn, interesting. I'm medicated (progynova) then lots of progesterone from just before transfer). I think my clinic (care fertility) doesn't like non medicated ones. What I read seem to imply that if I look like I'm going to ovulate on the weekend then that cycle is lost.

Thank you both. Sorry about the miscarriages shamoo.

Good luck whenever you go!

@seven201

Clinics do that so it's convenient for them when they transfer rather than what's best for your body. I'm with Create and they'll just give a trigger shot if the lead follicle that month just gets to a certain size and you haven't had a LH surge yet.

@ivfgottostaypositive yes, I definitely think that is the main factor. I'm just worried I'll ovulate at the wrong time so will 'waste' a month. Do you think that's true for the norethisterone too or is there actually a medical benefit? Thanks for your reply.
