Letrozole after clomid?

Hi everyone,
I am 37 and suffering with secondary infertility ttc #2 after a very normal and quick conception with our first who is now 5.

Dr thinks I have pcos as my AMH is high (49).

I've done 6 rounds of clomid which were all unsuccessful. Cd varied between 30-35 days. Tubes tested, were both clear.

My dr has since put me on letrozole..

My first cycle was 28 days (!) And my progesterone level was 28, the highest its ever been.

My 2nd cycle, progesterone was 1 (?!?!) And I'm still waiting for my period- currently on cd44... the longest cycle I've ever had.

Has anyone else experienced this on letrozole? My body is obviously getting used to the new drug and I've been told I can stay on it long term, I.e a yr or so.
I have a review in 6 months if nothing happens by then but we may look into ivf in sept if we can afford it.

I am curious as to your experiences.

Also, has anyone had ovarian drilling on the NHS?

Thank you for reading x

Hi @Bwadderley, I only been Letrozole but in my case it made my cycles more regular. Don't worry about your second progesterone test obviously it was taken on the wrong day. You might need a higher dose of Letrozole to regulate your cycles, your Dr will talk you through it. Did you try to use the Opk sticks?

No, but I'm going to this month, if my period ever arrives!! I am obviously not even ovulating , or trying to, at the same time each month. I'm increasing to 5mg letrozole this next cycle and dr said we'll take it from there.
