PCOS - Clomid for baby #2

Hi, anyone starting clomid soon for baby #2?

I have PCOS and needed clomid to conceive baby #1. I was hopeful I wouldn't need to repeat the same journey for baby #2 but clearly I'm not that lucky.

Anyone in the same position and want to chat or share the journey?

Period has started (I think!) so will start clomid tomorrow and get a follicle tracking scan booked it! 🤞🏻

Clomid taken - some hot sweats and grumpiness but that's cleared now. Started OPKs and have a follicle scan on Monday 🤞🏻

Refrain from using the ovulation predictor kit. Clomid encourages the ovaries to work harder and produce more LH and the kit will read that level. The use of opk’s is not recommended if PCOS is present again because of the issue with LH. Many women with PCOS produce an excess level of this hormone too.

Stick to the scans instead, these are far more accurate.

Thanks Attila, sadly this isn't my first clomid rodeo.

This mornings follicle tracking scan revealed an ok lining but no dominant follicle. Advised to use OPKs and I'll continue using ovusense for temping and see if anything happens this week. Re scan next Monday.

This is very much a repeat of what it was like TTC my DS so I'm not feeling positive about seeing a late developing follicle.

Can I ask if you've been given Clomid on the NHS for baby #2?

Yes I have. That's all I'll get though. After this we need to look at private treatment if needed.
