Ivf bmi.

I’ve been referred to a fertility clinic 2 weeks ago after ttc for 2 an a half years.
In the last week I’ve found out I have pcos .
Will this effect the refural that has been made for me ? What bmi is accepted for ivf ? 🙂

Generally under 30 is recommended on the nhs. This is because 1.) fat is an endocrine (hormone) disruptor so it affects how the fertility drugs work and 2.) obese pregnancies are high risk. Private clinics must get take a higher bmi because they are happy to take your money. Again, ivf is more likely to work with a healthy bmi because fat really messes with hormones.

A low glycemic index diet can be very helpful in shifting weight for pcos sufferers.
