CARE vs. CREATE Fertility in London

I will be looking to begin IVF treatment later this year after I have an op to remove a fibroid in my womb. Currently stuck between picking these two places but open to other recommendations!

I am 37 and have a low egg reserve - less than one. Had a scan last week at CREATE which went OK but I am not sure if I want to proceed with them, plus patient reviews on HEFA aren't great.

Want a place that has great customer service as obviously this is a fraught and painful process and last thing I need is a place that compounds who maybe specialise in issue like the above.

I'm with Create (but not London although I've been to the St Paul's one for the odd scan as I often work in London) and I really like them

I also went to Care but found them a lot more clinical and less friendly than Create - I didn't get the same "feeling". I also wanted to go with short protocol mild ivf - Create didn't try to hard sell any extras in fact they talked me out of loads which Care had talked about saying they just weren't necessary/no evidence they actually worked

I did see that Creates reviews weren't as good but to be honest the service is VERY subjective and it's a very personal decision who to go with. A lot of the poor reviews were about getting calls back etc but that through the call centre - once you are being treated with a clinic they give you a mobile number to bypass the call centre and the service I have had has been fine. I know people with Care who have got zero embryos to blastocyst

Create specialise in treating people with low egg reserve so bear that in mind - some other clinics have a cut off below which they won't treat you and just pump you full of drugs to try and get loads of eggs which are just poor quality.

I had a failed FET with them in March and then conceived naturally unexpectedly in April - Create were amazing - proscribing additional medication to see if it would overcome my history of recurrent miscarriage and calling me to see how I was. Unfortunately I did lose that baby but Create again rang to see how I was and gave me free follow up scans. I then had a FET with them earlier this month and am tentatively pregnant again

But I do think it depends on the individual team at each Create clinic

I didn't for IVF, but I have used Mr Sadoon Sadoon in Kent at Spire Health. I think he works in London clinics too and I honestly think he is one of the most genuine caring and knowledgeable doctors in the field. I had surgery for stage 4 endo, pcos , two clomid rounds and would have been my go too for IVF and he was very matter of fact about chances etc.

We've gone with Gennett City Fertility in London. I start injections in a couple of weeks so fairly early on in the process but so far they've been great. Really helpful and friendly and I don't feel like they've been hard selling anything. Had pretty crappy experiences with Create's call centre so didnt consider going any further with them. Quite a lot of clinics have free open evenings which are quite good to see how you feel about the clinic and the staff working there.

Hi everyone, pls excuse the delay in reply - been on holiday - I really appreciate everyone's responses. Been really really useful. I think I might try an Open Day - though fear with that is that you get the best people on show and IRL they're not the ones treating you. It's really crappy that such an important health issue like this is farmed out to the private sector. I keep telling myself I should be grateful that least I have the option to pay for this - many don't - but it just feels really overwhelming researching treatment for such a sensitive topic. As much as people dog the NHS there's something about having decisions in terms of who provides the service made for you.

Hello,

Reviving this thread as interested to know if @Melanin1, you went with Create in London after all? I am looking into this at the moment as exploring the more natural route for IVF.

thanks in advance!

Same here, I'd like to know how did it go? I'm over 40 with low AMH, no male factor
