Hi, we have been ttc for just over four years and are now having tests for IVF. I had an u/s this week and don't understand if it's good or bad. Please would anyone be able to shed some light on any of the results.

Endometrial lining 4.7mm (I was cd5 though so still bleeding)

I have a subseptate at the fundus uterus

74mm uterus measurement.

They were actually checking for cysts as at the start of April I had eight cysts between 1cm and 6cm but they have now all gone.

Any advice would be appreciated. It's the subseptate bit I'm worried about as that sounds bad.

I would have a look on google....but I think it's something to do with a deformed uterus - it shouldn't affect you getting pregnant but can cause difficulties during pregnancy x

@itwasalovelydreamwhileitlasted I've looked on google and it's made it no clearer. Just says how a 4mm endometrial lining at 20weeks pregnant can cause miscarriage etc.

The whole subseptate uterus thing has no results and reverts to septate only.

4mm at cycle day 5 is perfectly fine - remember you are on your period so will have just shed/be in process of shedding your lining

IVF clinics look for at least 8mm for transfers so where you are in your cycle sounds normal to me x

A subseptate uterus means that there is a septum but it does not go all the way down if that makes sense.

I'm not sure about the endometrial measurements I'm afraid.

Thank you all for helping. I've had a baby already so not sure the subseptum part will be an issue. It must be newly formed.
