Mild IVF clinic recommendations please

Hi

I'm struggling to find clinics that offer mild IVF and any I can find I'm finding it hard to get a good idea of overall costs. Does anyone have any recommendations please? Anywhere in London, Hertfordshire or Bedfordshire preferably. Not ABC of Create as I've already looked into them.

I'm not sure what mild ivf is but I'm currently 13 weeks pregnant (tomorrow) after my first cycle with Herts and Essex Fertility. They were so open and friendly in all our appointments and run through all the different options in our first appointment that lasted 2 hours! The consultant would literally have sat there all day with us I think going through all our million questions deciding which route to go down

Throughout the whole process they have just been so good. Been v lucky as it seems like a minefield out there!

Thanks @PrayingandHoping and congratulations! I rang them earlier and unfortunately they don't offer mild ivf otherwise they would have definitely been worth considering.

I'm with Create Birmingham and looked all over West Midlands and there was no one else offering it. Although many normal ivf clinics might offer short protocol if you ask which is very similar

I did mild ivf but don’t live in the UK. It’s not really similar to the short cycle at all, which I also did twice first. (Mild IVF worked amazingly for me in terms of egg quality and led to a baby and two frozen embryos from 4 eggs.)
It’s completely incomprehensible that all clinics can’t offer it. It’s conventional ivf drugs, just tiny doses, plus clomid. The rest of the process is the same. I’m sorry you can’t find anywhere so far and I hope someone will be along with a recommendation soon.

Hi @edibletreats. I went with Gennet City Fertility in the end and did short protocol. I now have a nearly 3 month old daughter as a result of an FET. I'd definitely recommend them as a clinic. Very honest about costs and treatment options and made me feel completely at ease throughout the whole process. Good luck!

@edibletreats we took out a 2 cycle package with Access Fertility because I wanted to know we could do a second cycle and as many FETs as we had embryos for, to lower the pressure on the first cycle. It meant we actually spent slightly more than we needed to in the end but it was worth it for the peace of mind. We were very lucky to fall pregnant from the first fresh cycle but unfortunately it ended in mmc. It was a comfort to know we could try again straight away because we'd only have to pay for meds. We then fell pregnant from our first FET and she's now my beautiful 11 week old. The costs on their page look about right to me though. They've recently started including monitoring blood tests in their packages which is great as they would've been paid for separately before. I think the only things we paid for in addition to the package was the initial consultation, initial screening blood tests and the meds. They charged an external prescription fee (£25) if you wanted to get your meds from elsewhere which was a bit of a pain but generally still worked out cheaper to do that because Asda pharmacy did some of the meds quite a bit cheaper in my experience.
