I just found out I have poly cystic ovaries, I’m 22. Is it wrong that I don’t see the point in using protection any more?

I have this and I got preganant. If you don’t want a child you need contraception.

It’s harder to get pregnant but it isn’t impossible. If you don’t want to be pregnant, you need to use contraception.

I thought I'd be infertile when I was diagnosed. I got pregnant the first time I had unprotected sex.

If you aren't ready to raise a child, you need to use protection. PCOS doesn't necessarily mean you can't conceive.

Yes - your ovaries may be erratic but they're not nonfunctioning!

PCOS is quite variable, for me the right type of oral contraceptive actually helped keep most of my symptoms in check (When I wasn't TTC, pregnant or BF, obv)

I have PCOS and I also have 2 children that were conceived naturally. You absolutely do need to use contraception if you don't want to have children.

PCOS doesn’t always impact fertility especially if you’re young. For example it often runs in Indian families but the first many women realise is when their thyroid goes kaput or they develop diabetes. Definitely keep using protection.
