Why can't I find much information about receiving donor eggs?

Google is weirdly letting me down, I want to know how much it will cost (roughly) and what clinics offer it.
Does ivf insurance cover it? Are you guaranteed an amount of eggs? Really confused as to why I can't find much info. Halp! Thanks everyone.

I know that the London Women’s Clinic offers treatment with donor eggs. They are associated with the London Egg Bank.

These prices in the LWC link above don’t seem to include the cost of drugs, health checks for the recipient or the HFEA fee, but they might give you an idea. Prices seem to vary depending on the package you choose and where you are in the country. Also, if you use frozen eggs, you’ll probably need an additional procedure called ICSI.

Access Fertility do offer refundable and part-refundable packages for IVF with donor eggs, subject to a medical review. I don’t know if any other companies offer something similar.

I hope this is a useful starting point - you’re right that finding clarity on costs is difficult. I mention the LWC only because I’m familiar with them and their website.

Oh, and with the LWC link, you select your nearest clinic and Egg Donation to see some package prices.
