I'm only 18months in. Unexplained secondary.

I'm not coping very well this last month.

How do you keep going? xx

how is vitamin e going to help

Wishful30 · 06/03/2019 06:38

@annburton
Apparently it helps with blood flow and helps to thicken uterine lining.
Worth a try 🤷🏻‍♀️

BeaCat · 06/03/2019 07:30

@wishful30 I've heard eating beetroot and drinking pomegranate juice is good for the uterus- could be worth a try!

Wishful30 · 06/03/2019 07:35

@BeaCat thankyou! Anything is worth a try at this stage.

My gut is just telling me if implantation is the issue because of my uterine lining, then manually implanting a fertilised embryo won't make the blondest bit of difference.
Surely it's set to fail 😑

Minibow · 06/03/2019 10:30

@wishful30 how do get diagnosed unexplained? We've both had all the tests and 18 months in nothing.

@Minibow

There's nothing currently obvious as a reason why we can't conceive.
(Tho my uterus is clearly not right)
So it is defined as 'unexplained infertility'
We've been trying for almost 2 years. And I have had quite a few positive tests. Just can't hold on to them for some reason.

Hoping the hysteroscopy will shed some light.

Minibow · 06/03/2019 11:45

I haven't had any bfps in 18 months.

Clinic basically says try IUI. But I can't cope not knowing what is the problem. Like you said- what's the point of if it's not going to work if there is a problem xx

OP posts:
Wishful30 · 06/03/2019 12:13

@Minibow
I've had 2 rounds at IUI and if you can't get it on the nhs then don't pay for it.
I spent ALOT of money and wasted a year, along with all the stress that goes with it, only to accidentally find out something's up with my uterus.
If my doc was t on holiday, I would've not seen the guy who told me there was an issue!

If you know you definitely ovulate, and the sperm is good, then that's unexplained infertility.

I'm only having my hysteroscopy because my HSG dye test showed up an issue and I pointed out that if implantation is a problem, surely manually implanting won't work either.
Sometimes you gotta be clear and stern when talking to dr's. They only do what they have to!

Minibow · 06/03/2019 16:04

Yes all tests. Ovulation fine, sperm fine, and hycosy clear.

We have 2 children already and got pregnant at 5 months max before.

So mine would be secondary unexplained then?

Wishful30 · 06/03/2019 16:10

@Minibow
Ah I see, yes I guess it's secondary. What other tests could be done?

Unfortunately it seems to be a common thing that if you have already got children, they tend not to intervene too much.
I don't think they offer IVF if you already have children either.
It's such a shame. I kinda get why, but it doesn't stop you wanting to grow your family.
This is my first... no babies yet, so very concerned

annburton · 07/03/2019 20:42
