Natural killer cells?

I have unexplained infertility (both me and my partner have been through every fertility test we could). I have a 10 year old daughter from a previous relationship and about 4 years ago, I did get pregnant with my current partner but it didn’t work out. Both times I got pregnant, it was due to a missed pill. We’ve not been ttc for two years with no luck at all.

Someone I know mentioned natural killer cells. I’d never heard of it before but she said it’s kind of like when your cells attacks a foreign body like bacteria etc except they’re attacking reproductive cells. She said you can have it tested as it can be a reason for not being able to conceive despite being told “nothing” is wrong.

I was just wondering, is this actually a real thing? If so, has anyone ever had them tested and gone on to get pregnant? I did a very quick google and noticed that it costs a lot of money to have the test, money I simply do not have and I’m guessing the only way to get it done is by paying for it?

There’s not enough evidence that NK cell treatment works — it’s one of those super expensive things a lot of women do when it’s their last possible option left for finding out what’s wrong. You would be far better off to, initially, get other tests done for conditions that actually do cause repeat miscarriages — pcos, thyroid issues, lap procedure for endometriosis (it’s the only way to diagnose it), blood sugar, cholesterol, egg reserve etc.

@lilypad15 ive been wondering about the exact same thing you hear soo many times couples ttc for yrs then they split up get with a new partner and bam theyr pregnant..so i do think theres some truth to it but we re just beginning to understand it not enough research has been done into it. I was on another thread and someone was actually told by their doctor they had unexplained infertility also (had every test possible) that sum ppl are just not reproductively compatible its heartbreaking!
