Anyone out there who can share their experiences with him? DH went to see him yesterday.

DH has seen Dr Ramsay a number of times this year. We went to see him as soon as we were told that our secondary infertility could be due to male factor.

DH’s sperm fragmentation results improved significantly after a course of antibiotics prescribed by Dr Ramsay, combined with a Mediterranean diet; low alcohol and caffeine. They leapt from around 32% to 24%.

We still haven’t completed a cycle of IVF (they discovered a pesky cyst at my baseline scan last Monday - oh joy!) so I’m afraid I won’t be able to give you any anecdotal evidence of Dr Ramsay improving our IVF outcome.

DH is seeing him soon. He has really low count. I feel he needs a bit of support and kick to start taking vitamins, give up smoking, etc. Our GP was awful to him and IVF clinic pretty much ignored him. How was your experience?

DH said he was lovely and really kind and understanding. He examined DH which no one has ever done, which is madness considering our issue is Male factor.

We have had 6 IVF transfers with 1 child born 4 years ago. TTC#2 for the last 2 years with 4 failures - 1 was a miscarriage.

He found white blood cells in DH's sample which suggests a response to an infection. We are going to see him again soon.

Sounds like a good progress! Great to hear DH liked him! Madness indeed how male factor is completely ignored in IVF! All they suggested us is ICSI but after failed cycle admitted that male factor needs to be improved for the next attempt. Spent concentration has dropped something like 40% since 1970 and the norm had to be rewritten. They should look better for the causes!
