Help interpreting sperm analysis

Me and my DH have been TTC for a couple of years. Initially very much so we'll just see what happens but as time goes on we've had various tests.

DH has had 2 x sperm analysis. The first he was given the wrong container so they wanted to redo in case of contamination. But we could really do with some help understanding the results (DH went to follow up on his own and didn't take a lot in).

Figures below are from the second test:
Volume- below range 1.5ml
ph - 7.9
Liqufaction - normal
Count- 25
Total count - below range 38
Progressive motility - below low reference limit 14%
Non progressive motility - 3%
Non mobile - 83%
Viability count - 21%
Normal Forms - below low reference limit

Volume and PH are fine. The concentration is fine as they look for that to be above 15 million and yours is 25 million. The total count is a little lower as should be 39 million or above but not a massive difference.

I think your main issue is the motility and morphology (normal forms). The progressive motility which means the sperm that are swimming forwards should be over 32% and yours are only 14%. Overall 83% of the sperm are not swimming forwards. The normal forms are the shape of the sperm. Some can have tails missing or the heads can be the wrong shape etc. You should have 4% or more normal forms but yours are less than 1%. These two issues can greatly affect your chances of conceiving. It's always worth getting a retest in say 6 months after taking some vitamins, eating healthily and quitting smoking to see if there's an improvement. They will generally recommend ivf with icsi for you though if not.
