Crinone gel versus cyclogest pessary

Evening! So we are hoping to go for our third time lucky, a 2nd FET, soonish ( considering whether to do NK testing, endo scratch). I had an outright fail in November (bled 9dpt5dt) and a CP in February (aslo a blastocyst). Clinic see no reason for failure (profound MFI, but nothing else) but have told us basically we can do whatever we want.

With both cycles, every morning I had tiny amounts of blood (I mean, specks) which then obviously increase when I lost the embies. But the spotting/specking esp. the second time around was super anxiety inducing. Consistently been told that the specks could be cervical irritation from pessary ( I did then last thing before going to bed, then set my alarm 30 minutes early in morn to do and then lie down for bit).

Asked at review if there's any other way to administer the progesterone ( actually, I really want the injections - I think - but I don't think the NHS allows them) and avoid the specking as I want to know if it's 'proper' bleeding starting. Nurse said i could try the crinone gel, so ladies, has anyone used the gel and spotted, anyone able to compare the two? TBH I'm thinking of just going with the pessaries as it's the devil I know...

Grateful for all/any advice x

Hey Blondiecub I had a lot of cramping and irritation from the cyclogest too and for my upcoming FET the consultant said to use it rectally instead so could be worth a try?

Hopefully we will both have success this time xx

Hi - yes I think if I do stick with the pessary I’ll be using the tradesmans so to speak - nurse said that will be fine - fingers crossed for us both x

Using cyclogest rectally is way less hassle, anyway. No need to lie down afterwards.
