After three early losses myself and DH were tested and is sperm DNA fragmentation has come back at 30%

I can't speak to a consultant for a week and I'm terrified. I feel sick that I may be pregnant now and may have another miscarriage. I'm so so scared. Can anyone share any information at all? How bad is 30%

Hi, everyone. I know it's a thread a while ago. But I couldn't help jumping in. Hopefully someone still checking here.

@Maybe2019 Massive congratulations with your twins! wow what an achievement!. I feel really happy for you ;). and big thanks for sharing all these details for the treatment for dna fragmentation.

I have a question, I remember someone else has also commented that if surgically retrieve sperm, does it have to go through the treatment? I am asking because i am 5 months to be 40yr (yeah feeling really horrible as the fertility window closing due to egg quality), so time is quite precious for us. It might be silly to think but could it mean that we don't have to wait for 6 months to improve sperm quality if we turn to surgically retrieve sperm? many thanks!

Hi all, my DH tested 52% DNA frag. This was after our first failed round where he had had no alcohol/caffeine and been on supplements for months. He’s very healthy in general too.

We were referred to a urologist (I forced our consultant to refer us!) and they found a varicocele. DH had surgery a few months ago. We’re going again with ICSI in two months with surgical sperm removal. We haven’t had donor sperm even broached to us by clinic yet.

I found this girls blog very inspiring too. Her DH had DNA damage of 43%
