Day 3 very low oestradiol

Hi everyone,

I had my blood tests done for day 3 as am worried about irregularity in cycle since stopping breastfeeding DC2 in November 2017. Have had three cycles since then but they have ranged 29-33 days and some v short bleeding and most recently 7 days of bleeding. My results were as follows:-

Oestradiol

My understanding is that the lower your levels on day 3 the better. High oestradiol could indicate a problem because your ovaries are MEANT to be quiet at that time in the cycle.

You only just stopped breastfeeding. Your cycles don't look irregular to me! A range of more than 8 days is considered irregular by medics. The difference in bleeding could be for a variety of reasons, most of which are absolutely nothing to even raise an eyebrow about, let alone be this anxious.

Sounds like the autoimmune issues have sent your anxiety in to overdrive. I'd suggest you address this before you start ttc number 3 as we all know that ttc sends a non-anxious person into a quivering mess.

Thanks very much for such a kind reply. I am so grateful. My husband is tearing his hair out at not being to cope with how anxious I am. And I also really miss not feeling anxious the whole time. The normal range for this time of the month does not go this low though. I wonder whether I should have a base level of oestradiol there?

Cobalt, in the nicest way possible, you're putting the cart before the horse. You've posted in infertility, but you aren't even yet ttc. It took me 16 months to get anyone to take my infertility seriously enough the be offered tests.

This is honestly not likely to be a problem. Your autoimmune issues are far more of an issue at this point.
