HSG - useful for lining issues?

I had an HSG many years ago when we first started treatment, but had read that it's useful to repeat it regularly, though my clinic have never said this. I think our issue now is with thin womb lining but I'm unclear whether the HSG test looks at this in any detail? Is it not more for tubal problems? Anyone out there had a normal HSG, then gone on to have a repeat of the test and problems been identified? Thanks

I'm fairly sure HSG does not look at womb lining, for that I think they just do an ultrasound. They might identify problems at a second HSG if you'd had an untreated infection or something which, over time had caused scarring etc, but that's pretty unlikely as you have probably had swabs etc taken as part of the whole fertility testing process.

Thanks Overina. That's kind of what I thought, though had heard it was useful to repeat the HSG for unexplained infertility. I had one done 5 years ago.
