Paying for ivf privately

Just wondered if people wouldn't mind sharing how they funded any private ivf treatment? We are going to do it but even saving half and borrowing half takes a reaaaalllyyy long time!!
Did you use savings? Save half and borrow half? Did someone gift it? Just curious as to what people do because it all seems so unachievable when you are both on a fairly low wage but I know we aren't the only people in this situation.

My mam paid for a lot of our two cycles with inherited money from her estranged abusive father. It felt good to put the old bastard’s money to good use. We did overtime and stuck the rest on 0% credit cards which we are still paying off but I don’t mind as the last cycle was successful.
Good luck!

Gizmo, the most popular clinics abroad seem to be Reprofit in Czech, Serum in Athens and some clinics in Spain. One of my friends went to a clinic in Poland and she was very happy with them.

We were told by my DH urologist that some of the best clinics are in India. We have researched some and found they vary greatly in price, starting at 2.1k for IVF with ICSI. Not sure about European ones but I would be interested to know the costs of these too
