Morning all,

I am 25 and my partner is 33. We are TTC, I have fallen pregnant in the past twice however sadly both times I was rushed to hospital with an Ectopic Pregnancy. This resulted in my left tube being removed.

When i was 16/17 I had 3 operations to remove very large cyst's from my ovary's / tubes.

It has been 2 years since I had my left tube taken out and since have not been on any contraception. Went to my doctors who has been amazing and referred me straight away for fertility investigation. My partners sperm has been checked and that is fine. I have also had my ovulation bloods and they have come back perfect. I am extremely concerned that my right tube is blocked and that maybe the reason why I have no conceived since my left tube has been taken out. I have finally got my referral appointment early Nov.

I just want to know if anyone else has been referred to a hospital for fertility investigations and what happens. At your first appointment is it just a chat? Also does anyone know options if your remaining tube is blocked?

Looking also to hear from anyone who may of had a tube removed / cysts and would love to hear some positive BFP to brighten my Friday!

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend x

Our stories are a little different so I haven't got all the answers but I might be able to answer a few of your queries before someone else comes along who can hopefully help you more.

I ttc for 3 years and it was only when I had a miscarriage they found that I had two large ovarian cysts which were the reason it had taken me so long to conceive. I had the cysts removed by laparoscopy. They had originally told me that they'd likely have to remove an ovary but assured me that it wouldn't impact my fertility, however they were luckily able to save it.

In-bwtween my miscarriage and the surgery taking place, I had an appointment at the fertility clinic. The consultant asked me and my DH a whole list of questions regarding our health. I had a blood test done to check my ovarian reserve and that was it. It was quite a short appointment and the next one was arranged for 6 months later which was very disheartening but I've heard its quite common to have a big gap like this.
Before the next appointment took place I had the laparoscopy and then got pregnant one month later. This is after a total of 3.5 years of trying for a baby and I'm now 13 weeks pregnant. I didn't think it could ever happen.

Its a good sign that your blood test showed that you're ovulating, so maybe thats a bit of hope for your remaining tube!
