Hi everyone! I was just wondering if anyone could help.....I think I've been approved for ivf, when I say "think" I mean we've been through all tests etc and fertility hospital have now invited us along to an open evening so that sounds really positive and we're super excitedWinkhowever I'm a bit confused, I come under a PCT which provides 3 cycles and am currently 39....I will obviously only have had time for one cycle at the most by my 40th (next may) so do they honour the 3 cycles as it was approved when I was 39 or would it cut off on my 40th? If anyone could help if really appreciate it thank u xx

Hi, you'd need to look at your CCG criteria for that to determine whether it's starting treatment before you're 40 or completing it before 40. Without seeing your CCGs specific criteria we unfortunately can't advise you regarding this.

Depending on protocol you might be able to get in more than 1 cycle (if you need to) by next may.

I've got your answer:

northwestcsu.nhs.uk/BrickwallResource/GetResource/a2e93cd2-041e-42a0-bcbc-21795650156f

See page 9-10 of document. You get as many of the 3 cycles as you can fit in before you're 40.

"For women aged 39 and under the CCG funds 3 cycles (includes abandoned or cancelled cycles)."
"If the woman turns 40 before all cycles are complete then no further treatment will be funded after the current cycle is completed."
