Good evening all,
I am getting ready for my 7th IVF (FET / donor eggs) within next 1-2 months. I have pestered my clinic to pull out all the stops this time and they are incorporating as many "just in case" add ons as possible in attempt for final lasting BFP.
Rather than waste precious time testing (logistically difficult as clinic abroad with no direct flights & also as I am using Frosties so tests for DH would be pointless).
Anyway this is a list of my add ons this cycle:
- Clexane
- Higher dose prednisone
- Scratch (arranged privately here in UK for next week)
- Embryo glue
- Intralipids (on day of lining scan)
- Aspirin
I would have to arrange scratch and intralipids privately here with letter of recommendation from my clinic.
I enquired at private clinic (where I am booked for next week's scratch) re whether or not they also could offer intralipids treatment.
Their receptionist phoned back and left message saying their consultant advises it is NOT a recommended treatment and they actually advise AGAINST it?!?!
I then received a phone call from another local private clinic who said yes they can provide intralipids if I provide referral letter from my clinic.
I am now a bit confused and to be honest a bit frightened as to whether to have intralipids or not (pricey also at £225 but worth it if it works).
Once my last Frosties are used up I don't think emotionally I could continue with another fresh cycle so I am looking at this as truly my last chance.
Has anyone had intralipids and felt it contributed to their BFP? Why would one clinic strongly advise against it?
I am hoping that by adopting my clinics "we'll just add on everything" this time we will get my baby.
Many thanks for any thoughts x
