I'm feeling very lonely in all this already it's comforting to know I'm not alone, I'd love to hear your story on this journey, here's mine.

Cycles are 32-33

Day 28 progesterone showed 7.5 ( no ovulation )
Cd35 2 day missed af started feeling ill, to cut it short had to take time off work my symptoms were
•painful lumpy breasts
•sore nipples
•pelvic pain, cramps, lower back pain
•peeing more often
•foggy head, blurred vision, feeling very weak
•sleeping constantly
Cd41 started spotting, not feeling as dizzy.
Started new af today annoyingly it's only when I go to toilet I get a flow, nothing in my pad. 😑
My hips are aching today and so are my thighs which i don't usually have as far as I remember.

Going in for lh fsh bloods taken in the morning, and in waiting to get appointment for tubes testing.
Transvaginal scan on 26th July and then seeing specialist to see what he says about all my tests.

Good luck girls, I'd love a buddy to go on this journey with

I've got an appointment 3rd July to get the ball rolling with tests. My gp didn't want to know, as I had a chemical at the 11 month mark, which 'reset' my 12 months. So I went straight to the fertility clinic (they think I'm NHS, I thought I was 'going private', so we'll see what they say...).

Ttc since March 2016. Chemical in march 2017. If there's a problem, I'd rather know now than waste another year. The stress has been getting to me and I'm quite worried what happens with my Nov 21 due day rolls around and I'm no further...

I haven't had bloods or anything yet, as my gp refused and said im unlucky. He suggested I have another miscarriage so he would refer me to recurrent miscarriage unit. Haven't been back since...

Sarah1087 · 27/06/2017 17:43

What a load of cock and bull. Your GP needs to change career, never heard stupid insensitive advise in my whole life.

I'm also very sorry to what of your loss. I agree with you of wanting to know now, maybe you are low in progesterone that's why you cannot carry the pregnancy?

What day are you having your bloods taken? They did mine on day 21 which is for a textbook 28 cycle, which annoys me because every woman is different and unique in her own way.
So they then did my day 28, as much as I am not pregnant I am still not convinced they did my progesterone levels at the right time.

At least you haven't got long to wait for the bloods. Although it'll be 2 months when I actually see the dr who will advise me on the next step, so keeping occupied in the mean time is hard x

I'm a bit further down the road than you guys. 3 IUI cycles, conceived twice, lost both (plus a previous MMC). Had tests for habitual miscarriage and will get results on July 7. I know already that they found slight hypothyroidism but haven't been informed of anything else so assume it's all negative otherwise they would have called. I'm in Switzerland so we're waiting for the insurance to approve genetic testing, although we've been told this is unlikely to be approved as I'm over 35. So, get the thyroid levels right and more IUI is I think going to be the outcome. I told DH that I can face 3 more goes and after that I'm ready to throw in the towel.

physicskate · 27/06/2017 18:03

No idea if they are going to advise bloods. The letter said to expect a transvaginal scan, which is going to be a bit unpleasant considering I will probably still be spotting from af. I honestly don't know what to expect other than the scan... not sure what testing they will do and what we might have to pay for.

I have a history of hypothyroid and my TSH was 2.6 back in November, which is higher than recommended for first trimester, but not high enough to medicate. T3 and T4 were in the middle of normal... Never had antibodies testing.

Greater - That is really shit abut your mc. I totally get the 'throw in the towel' possibility. I am a bit curious about IUI... What is your 'slight' hypothyroidism? Have you started thyroxine?

I feel pretty let down at the moment. Very very worried about November. Tested yesterday (12 dpo) bfn on FRER and feels like af on her way, so feeling a bit low from that (and pms) too.

I am a little further ahead of you. I had my ultrasounds and transvaginal back in February this year. Also had to have swabs and bloods done. I went private for this. Then saw a consultant through NHS is April and had to have further bloods done as some had been missed in February and a HSG which I had carried out today.

Seems that today's HSG has given me the answers as to what is causing my infertility though as it appears adhesions from operations I had when I was 8 have blocked my tubes.

I go back to the consultant in August but to be referred for IVF I need to ensure my BMI is under 30. So far I have lost just over 2st and have around another 6lbs to go to get my BMI where needed, so I have my fingers crossed and am working very hard to meet target by August to stop any further delays.

physicskate · 30/06/2017 19:21

Well done brighteye on shifting the weight! I've lost a stone since March and hoping to lose about half a stone more (though a stone more might be nice!).

Not quite sure what to expect for Monday.... Af has turned to spotting, so hope I am not still spotting Monday (I tend to get a few days of it on and off at the end of my cycle). I've never had an ultrasound, transvaginal or otherwise, so not really looking forward to that part.

Brighteye3986 · 30/06/2017 19:38

Don't worry too much about the scans. I was on cycle day 2 when mine were carried out which was absolutely fine. It can cause a little bit of discomfort but nothing major.

My cycles are all over the place. The last 2 have been 42 days and 28 days. I am now currently on cycle day 32 but I have a feeling that from what I have found out today may be the reason my cycles are so erratic!

Ideally I would like to lose about 11lbs but as long as I lose what I need to I'm happy!

Maincat · 04/07/2017 07:33

Hello! Can I join you?

I had a mc last year at only 7 weeks, then it took 3 months for periods to return. After that my cycle has been all over the place and I feel awful. I had scans of ovaries/uterus which look fine but 21 day bloods revealed low progesterone. GP is now looking to see of I meet referral criteria for the fertility clinic but has given me to treatment options or reassurances.

I was using cheap ovu tests from Amazon which didn't seem to show much, which is why I was worried, but actually knowing I'm not ovulating has hit me hard.

Physicskate - the ultrasound (outside and in) is slight uncomfortable but doesn't hurt at all. I had to have a transvag one before when I mc and was bleeding heavily...theyve seen it all! So try not to worry, the outcome and results moves you one step closer to knowing what's going on.

Brighteye3986 · 04/07/2017 07:54

Sorry to hear about your MC maincat.

It's annoying when cycles are all over the place. Mine have been like it for over 2 years now. I have had my day 21 bloods but haven't had the results yet. I go back to my consultant in August so will find out then. Although the cycle I had the bloods done was a long one at 42 days so not sure it will pick anything up.

Fingers crossed that there is a treatment for you.

physicskate · 04/07/2017 14:05

Had my ultrasound yesterday. I tried to relax and it wasn't so bad. I got to see the scan which was absolutely amazing! I totally geeked out. And then we realised there were bucketloads of cysts on both ovaries. Not that it is a reason for the troubles in and of itself, but is an avenue we can explore...

It is shit, but I think I feel loads better when they said we'd done the right thing coming in and we hadn't come too soon or anything. I could tell the nurse was embarrassed by what the gp had told me to have more miscarriages... perhaps the cysts mean that the eggs weren't mature enough to be viable?

Sorry, rambling! Cd 7 so I've got ages to wait for my day 1-3 blood test.

Brighteye3986 · 04/07/2017 14:31

At least you are getting some kind of answers physicskate! I know it may not necessarily be the one you want but it helps explain a lot of things! Hopefully soon you will be on the right track!

I have been quite amazed at how open hospitals have been with scans etc as normally they try and position their screens so that you can not see anything but even with my HSG last Friday the screen was pretty much in front of me!

Sarah1087 · 04/07/2017 22:12

Hi girls

How are you?
Sorry to hear of your mc hunny
I had my hsg yesterday and it was very painful for me, but showed I had a totally blocked right Fallopian tube, possibly from endo or pid but never been diagnosed with either, they also said could be down to suffering from cystitis which I've had more than I'd like to remember.

I at first felt so disheartened that I wasn't ovulation and was gutted to know my tube was blocked!
But as the day as gone on today I'm more relaxed knowing I now have the answers as to what is going off. And happy treatment will soon begin.

So please stay positive xx

Hi Sarah!

I know what you mean about the pain from the HSG... luckily mine went within a few minutes of it being stopped. I think so far that has to be the worst part I have been through. I'm sure that there are going to be times that are worse though😔

snowy1982 · 05/07/2017 14:42

Do you mind if I join in ladies??

My story is:
TTC #1
Cycles 33
BFP 0

DH and I have been for all the usual tests and everything has come back good, great in fact, we have been told we are prime candidates for BFP but none have ever came. In Dec 2015 went to see my GP who arranged all the usual blood tests and SA for DH and referred us to the fertility clinic. By May 2016 we still hadn't received a referral letter so I contacted the clinic and they said letter wouldn't come until September at the earliest so we went private.

Private clinic said we would be best to try IUI so we booked in 3 cycles and had the first in August 2016 - none of them worked. NHS appointment letter finally came in Jan this year (turned out to be the same doc as in the private clinic) and he referred us to the main fertility clinic (I should explain, i am in NI so although most hospitals will do the fertility consultations and some offer IUI etc, only one hospital does IVF on NHS) to get us on the IVF wait list. In the meantime he sent me for a HSG. Finally had my IVF appointment at end of April and got placed on the list (9 month list) and had HSG in May and it was also all clear. The local hopsital is giving me 3 IUI on NHS while I am waiting on IVF to come through - it should be starting in Aug, but i have a feeling i am going to have to delay a month as timing means the procedure would have to happen when i am on my best friends hen do.

Brighteye and Sarah speaking of horrible fertility testing/treatment experiences - on my first IUI the speculum broke inside me - i still shudder when i think of that

Brighteye3986 · 05/07/2017 15:05

Oh my snowy! I feel for you.

I went private initially and had most of the tests carried out but they missed a few so these were picked up in April when I went to my NHS appointment. The longest wait for me has been the HSG but I did look into having it done privately but in the end I just kept ringing and eventually went to my specialists secretary to get the issue resolved.

I have my next appointment on the 11th August and at present am about 6lbs overweight for my BMI to be under 30 for IVF referral. I'm am trying my hardest to get there! I have managed to lose 2st 3lbs so far!!

I don't think there will be much they can do regarding my blocked tubes as operations from 23 years ago are causing adhesions to block them. Somehow I don't think they will clear easily....

snowy1982 · 05/07/2017 15:31

Brighteye, that weight loss is amazing, you have just over 5 weeks to lose the rest so it is definitely achievable, just be super strict with yourself and you will definitely get there.

I had read lots of stories etc online about how the HSG can sometimes help TTC even if no problems are discovered (something to do with giving the pipes a good flush out) and that there is anecdotal evidence that in the 3 months after it your chances of conceiving naturally are increased. We have 3 cycles between HSG and next batch of appointments/treatments so i am hoping that we'll get lucky. In the TWW of the 2nd cycle now so keeping everything crossed.

After my NHS IUI and IVF I only have enough money for 1 private IVF and 1 private FET and then we're out, so something better work soon.

Will they discuss the blocked tube options at your next appointment?

Brighteye3986 · 05/07/2017 15:52

I read that too but they had to stop the HSG as it was too painful.... and I'm pretty sure from the pictures I could see that the dye wasn't even going in the places it needed to go to be able to flush the tubes.

Yes they should discuss the issue with me at my next appointment as that was the last thing I was waiting to be done.

I have my fingers crossed for you snowy! Hopefully you won't need to have all 3 before you get your BFP.

And thank you on the weight loss. It has been a struggle the last couple of weeks to shift weight but I am determined to do it. I weigh in tomorrow but not sure I will do too well.... but then I need to draw a line and get back on the horse and get this weight off.

snowy1982 · 05/07/2017 15:56

Fingers crossed indeed - although i am in my normal TWW pattern of examining every slightest symptom and don't think we've got it this time, but who knows!

Brighteye3986 · 05/07/2017 16:21

Ha ha the TWW is the worst! I've half given up looking for symptoms in the last couple of cycles. My worst part is my cycles ranging from 26-45 days and not knowing when it's going to happen. My last 3 have been 42, 28 and 32!

snowy1982 · 05/07/2017 16:44

I go through phases with the symptom spotting, last cycle the TWW didn't really bother me, this time round I am only 5 days into it and I am already obsessing.

Oh, irregular cycles most be so difficult to work with, I'm lucky in that regard

Brighteye3986 · 05/07/2017 18:17

After 2 years they are getting easier. I'm starting to get used to the symptoms so know when dreaded Aunt Flo is coming! It had been almost a year since I had a cycle over 37 days and then I had one a couple of months ago but I was very stressed out due to my kitchen refurb going on so I think that delayed it.

snowy1982 · 17/07/2017 11:25

So I am 1 day post AF due date and am well into knicker watch ie running to toilet every 20 mins to see if she has shown up. So far nothing but I just feel like it is only minutes away, not cramping or anything just have a feeling that it's only a matter of time

brighteye3986 · 17/07/2017 11:49

Keeping my fingers crossed for you snowy!
