I'm 31 and for nearly 3 years tried for a baby and nothing ..my realtionship ended 7 weeks ago due to stress/arguing about trying to conceive.
I have irregular periods, some last 10 days others last 2 days ..this months period didn't arrive.
I have heavy period and clots ..severe lower back ache, and sharp pains in hip and thigh.
I go for constipation to runny stools.
Doctor says that's normal and periods are like that and sent me for a colonoscopy to check for stomach problems.
He won't refer me to gyna..and because I'm not with partner won't refer me for fertility tests
I honestly am about to give up
I just want to see a gynacologist and find out what's wrong with me..I'm nearly 32 now.
What do I do?

Good luck, you'll be fine! Practice saying what the problem is and the outcome you want.

Go to a sex health clinic and they can refer you!

Hope you get the referral you need op.
I've reported the spammy post above.

Read the previous messages carefully for information about diet and supplements - this can really help

Here is some information that might help you:

Questions to ask your doctor

You may think that if you become ill you just go the doctor and they give you a drug to take away the illness

What if your Endometriosis is caused - or made worse - by things that you eat, or don't eat ?

Here are some questions to ask your doctors about Endometriosis

  • What causes it ?
  • How will looking at it and scraping it help me get better ?
  • How can I stop it recurring ?
  • Could my illness be caused by things that I eat, or don't eat ?
  • What can I change about my diet and lifestyle to help my body repair itself ?

These are easy questions to ask, but very difficult for doctors to answer as they know very little about Nutrition.
It may be worth asking them to refer you to a Dietitian or a Nutritional Therapist, as they specialise in Nutrition.
If your doctor won't do this, try a search for BANT and interview 10 local Nutritional Therapists who have had success advising about Endometriosis before choosing which one to work with

Search online for "anti-inflammatory diet"
This and the suggestions below may help to reduce the pain

Here are 3 well-proven natural ways to reduce the Inflammation that causes the pain of Endometriosis

*Increase your Vitamin D
*Increase your Omega-3
*Reduce your Omega-6

Some people have reported that eating specific foods like meat or dairy gives them an instant flare-up

Just got out of the GP and she was so nice.
She actually listened to me and asked if I wanted the fertility side also investigated,I said yes and she said that she agreed it should be investigated.
She said she wanted to do another blood test that would give her a better idea what was going on with my menstrual cycle.
She's booked me in for next week for a internal examination and to talk about the blood result.
She says then she will refer me for fertility /period investigations .
I got upset and she told me they would get to the bottom of it.
I honestly can't get over how nice and helpful she was

Thankyou...il be 32 in December
I hope I haven't left it too late to get the ball rolling.
All my friends had kids 21/22 and think I'm most possibly infertile

Flowers Just to add I didn't start ttc until I was 32, I came off the pill and that's when I discovered I had endo (a year later). I have conceived 3 times, only once with ivf (2 mc- not related to endo) So not too late imo.
