High FSH, low AMH- -any hope/advice?

Hi everyone, this is my first time on here because I'm really struggling with some blood results (FSH,55 and AMH less than 1.1). I've been turned down by a couple of IVF clinics and wondering if anyone had any recommendations for clinics that accept patients with this sort of depressing profile? I'm in Worcestershire, but will obviously travel wherever! I'm 36 and finding it difficult to comprehend that my body is menopausal. Thanks for reading and really hope there are some success stories out there to get me through these dark days. Lots of baby dust to everyone...

I'm sorry you find yourself in this situation.

Were you hoping to use your own eggs or are you considering a donor egg? The latter might be an option? I think FSH needs to be under 10 to be able to cycle with your own eggs - otherwise the body just doesn't respond to drugs and you can't make eggs to collect.

I guess you could approach somewhere like Create that do natural or mild IVF (basically, using few or no stims and working with whatever eggs you were ovulating anyway), but the success rates are not particularly high. Or, as JoJo said, would you consider donor eggs?

User- can you try naturally? If low amh is your only issue I Cant see why not.

I was told I had low ovarian reserve age 34. I've been pregnant 3 times and had 2 live births since (both ivf and naturally). It is possible.

My FSH varied between 12 and 14.5. My AMH was 0.7.

DD is 5!

Give the Lister a call.

Good luck

What made you do the blood tests OP? Have you been trying for a while? X

And I hear the lister are good for low ovarian reserve x

Thanks for all the replies, comforting to know others are out there. I asked for the blood tests because my consultant just kept giving me Clomid (for about 13 months) which to be fair worked a couple of years ago when I conceived my daughter. Thought I realised how lucky I was to have her, but am now feeling even more grateful. I've contacted Create in Birmingham who will see me (hooray!) but also been in touch with the Lister. I'm not ready to think about donor eggs just yet, especially as I already have one daughter. Fingers crossed a clinic can work some magic and get one last little egg up and running.... thanks again xxx
