Just that really, what is the difference? I had a hysteroscopy (under general with a lap and dye).

Hycosy is putting a contrast medium into your uterus and scanning from the outside. Hysteroscopy is passing a camera through your cervix and looking at your uterus from the inside.

A hycosy is looking for blockages or issues with your tubes. If the dye doesn't flow through, it suggests an issue

A hysteroscopy can see inside your uterus, and see where the tubes join the uterus, but not inside the tubes.
It is primarily checking for adhesions and other issues inside your uterus
