I am looking for recommendations for excellent fertility clinics in London. I remember reading on here, a couple of years ago, about a great clinic in London that offered very personalised treatments and advice, and had great success rates. I cant remember its nameWe werent ready to try then but are now. Please let me know if you can recommend a clinic you have attended. Thank you.

I went to the lister which I was very happy with.

Dalesgirl16 · 24/04/2017 22:39

earlgrey please can you tell me more about Lister?

Hi Dalesgirl, if you go to lister ask for dr Alison Taylor and don't accept anyone else. You're look at spending about £8.5/9.5k for ICSI ivf treatment at lister when all totalled, little bit less I guess for straight forward ivf.

*You're looking

Zita West.

You cannot get better I promise you - google Dr George Ndukwe. He is an absolutely amazing man with a ridiculously high success rate - he now works for Zita West but my children were "made" by him under Care Fertility in Nottingham .

Dr Ndukwe has done interviews on Beeb 1 and in the national media about his work and he is a darling of a man .

I will look them up!

I'd recommend CRGH, currently 8 weeks pregnant after first round of ICSI. It is expensive though! And we spent more than out quote. Also have 7 good embryos in the freezer. It has the highest rate of success per single embryo transfer. Good luck!!!

Hi Everyone, new to all this and going through 2ND cycle at Lister and I would avoid at all costs. Mis communication, wrong prescription, running late constantly. Rude, arrogant doctors and nurses and treated like your on a conveyor belt in a money factory.

So stressed and frustrating.

RubyBoots7 · 04/11/2017 09:09

Can also recommend CRGH, though I have no idea about cost as we were lucky to be NHS funded. We picked them based on having the best stats on our list of options our CCG would fund (but I think their stats are very high, period) plus they were the friendliest and most helpful when we rang them all for more info.
We've had two cycles with them, second was successful and we have frozen embryos in case of future attempts.
We had a few minor communication issues outside of appointments but it's such a complex process I do if that's just a thing that can happen. They deal with it all the time and it's new to you, so much to take in, etc. All the staff were lovely and took lots of time. They changed the protocol meds for cycle two based on what happened cycle 1 and we felt we were treated as individuals and everyone was genuinely made up that it worked time 2.

I recently completed IVF at the Lister Fertility Clinic. I do not recommend this place under any circumstances. I had the misfortune of being treated by Dr James Nicopoullos. I have never come across anyone in a caring profession so rude, arrogant and unpleasant to deal with. A whole raft of complaints at every encounter with him. I can only compare him to a cheap car salesman with the arrogance and smarm to match. Did not listen to my concerns about my fertility and even shouted at me after I had my operation to freeze eggs that I should make a complaint if I didn't like the treatment and to leave the hospital. One of the most expensive fertility clinics yet having a consultant like Dr Nicopoullos is to add insult to injury. Other women in the waiting room I spoke to had similar experiences with him. Dr Thun was good and the nurses are on the whole ok, if a little bit inexperienced. But you do feel like a conveyer belt going through processes they follow without anything personalised, even after 3 cycles?? Not worth the money given the poor experience I had with Dr Nicopoullos, my advice is to shop around.

Wow, was talking about this with a friend today who was recommended that dr by another specialist in a different field of medecine.

We had ICSI with Create (St Paul's). I don't have anything to compare it to but we were v happy with the service and treatment.

NoMudNoLotus · 20/06/2018 16:07

Thats so sad @calabresa . Ivf is so traumatic on every level without the added stress of uncaring medics .

I’m under Hammersmith Hospital with Imperial , we’re having tests carried out on NHS. If we need treatment it will be private but keep our same consultant as we can’t get nhs funding. We waited six weeks for our appointment but I’ve had the tests straight away. I know I’m at the start of our journey but everyone has been so lovely, I’m quite an anxious person & they put me at ease. Had a HSG test today and the nurses at Hammersmith hospital was wonderful, I would have not completed that test if it wasn’t for them.

We went to the fertility show at Olympia and we spoke to lots of people there and Dr Salim was the only person who gave me hope I could get pregnant so asked my GP to refer me there. We’ve been allocated Dr Lavery and he was very factual and reassuring, again he put us both at ease. Very happy with how we are being looked after

Hi everyone,

DH and I recently found out that it will be tricky for us to conceive naturally. having both had tests done, his test came back as ridiculously high count and an extremely low morphology. We have been referred to NHS fertility clinic and went for 1st appt today where they told us the rules in our area have changed and you now have to have been trying for 3 years to be accepted for IVF!! We've been trying for just over 2 years. They have now put me on a waiting list for a laparoscopy which could take several months to come through. We are thinking of going private, I saw ARGC was meant to be very good but now having read comments here am concerned this might not be the way to go. Could anyone recommend any other private hospitals or clinics in London or Kent that excel for IVF and ICSI? Any prices guides as well would be a bonus. Thank you x

I can't recommend CRGH - we are leaving mid-way through treatment as the service and support has been so poor. Feel free to message me for more info.
