Hi guys.
Any one else in the 2WW? I'm 4dp3dt and feeling ok but guessing this will change soon as I slowly go out of my mind!

Can I join? I'm 1dp5dt (FET) and already losing the plot! This is my third IVF 2ww (unexplained infertility) after a negative test on my fresh cycle and a miscarriage at 13 weeks on my first FET. I tested early previously and am planning to do the same again as I'd rather have the time to prepare myself for a negative.

Bluebird I'm also at my happiest when eating cheese so trying that! The doctor did say to keep relaxed!

Hi elle. So sorry to hear about your mc. So unfair after everything you've been through. Is this another FET? How early did you start testing? I'm dying to start testing early as my OTD is my birthday and I'm dreading it. Maybe it won't be so bad if I'm prepared?

Hi Bluebird yes this is another FET. Both other times I've tested on day 6 and my last cycle (the miscarriage) got quite a strong positive! My husband is very against testing until the official test day but it's my body so I told him tough! When is your OTD?

Elleceedee I am also a FET & had my last 2 frosties implanted.
Last time I waited till OTD before testing however time before I tested 8 days after as I just couldn't couldn't last any longer. Sadly both were negative.
I have spent today questioning potential boob tenderness but worried symptoms may only be me non stop squeezing all this time!!!
Can I ask what medications you are all on?

Daily I am taking 6mg Estrofem, 800mg Utrogestan pessaries & with this cycle for the first time low dose Prednisone & Asprin. It's a military operation to keep up with.
Neither family or friends know we are undergoing treatment so it's funny trying to sneak medication at lunchtime when no-one looking!
I have been recommended to lie down for 30 minutes after pessaries and am milking this to full evenings spent vegging on sofa with hubbie running around to my instructions for tea, biscuits and hot water bottle!
Bluebird3 it's a hard decision to decide if to test on Birthday or not...could be best present ever though.

Look at it this way ladies we are now at least half way through endless 2WW

I love cheese too!

This morning I had really bad nausea and really sore boobs. So am driving myself crazy thinking either 'yeah, this must mean I'm pregnant' or ' oh no, my body is just playing tricks on me to make me believe I am pregnant when I'm not'. It's a nightmare. My hubbie is off work today so we've had a lovely day together. I find it much easier to cope when I'm with other people.

One thing I've noticed since I started ivf is that my hair has gone really dry/ it just looks awful, not shiny at all. Has anyone else noticed this? I've not read that symptom anywhere. Also I am soo thirsty! I can't stop drinking. My mouth feels dry minutes after I've had a drink. It's wierd.
I'm also very tired and need much more rest than normal.

The only meds I'm taking is progesterone pessaries (and folic acid).

Can I ask, when you find out if you are pregnant...do you plan on telling close family and friends straight away or waiting awhile?

Hi everyone.

elle my OTD is Friday. Can't get here soon enough! Although equally sort of dreading it. I didn't have any frosties so would be looking at a full fresh cycle self funded if this hasn't worked.

Haven't noticed any dry hair but will now be keeping a close eye on it!

I've told quite a few people, and now sort of regret it as I'll have lots of people to tell if we're disappointed. Don't think I'll tell people the next round.
Whose testing next?

Hi Ellie! Sorry to hear of you MC, that really is my biggest fear right now and I really do admire your strength to carry on- it will be worth it in the end though!

Bluebird have you decided what you're going to do about OTD? I'm dying to do it early but not sure if I'll regret it.

ShaunTgirl I'm only on progesterone and folic acid

Lots of my friends and family know now and I really wish we'd been more private. Will be just us knowing next time I think.

Im testing on Thursday so think I'm next?
We haven't told anyone that Thursday is the big day.
Does anyone know, if I test a day early and get a positive is that likely to be correct or could it be a false positive? Thanks.

scream from what I've read, the only way you can get a positive pregnancy test is if you are actually pregnant! Or if the trigger shot from ivf is still in your system (which it wouldn't be if you are only testing a day early). So if you test the day before OTD and get a positive then you're pregnant!

gigglingbiscuit thank you and I hope so! The miscarriage has definitely made me more wary of telling people. I was grateful that I'd told close friends and my parents at 8 weeks after the early scan but next time I don't think I'll do the big pregnancy announcement after the 12 week scan as it was just horrible having to tell random fb friends what had happened. Everyone's different though I guess!

shauntgirl I'm on cyclogest pessaries plus prenatal vitamin. I hate the pessaries!

Thanks Elleceedeecee. In that case I'll definitely test a day early. Test day is a busy work day for me. So if I get a negative I should test again the following day? Oh my goodness- can't believe I'll be testing in 3 days. Scarey.

So, clinic have just told me I can test from Wednesday not Thursday! Two days time. Oh my goodness.

That's exciting scream!!! Not too long now.

giggling I think I'm going to wait for OTD now. I'm desperate to know but if it's negative I don't think I'll be in a state to go to work and I do have Friday off. Also, even at one day before OTD I'd still wonder if maybe it was too early and would torture myself over it. If it's negative on OTD then at least it's pretty conclusive.

Gosh although it's long it's also coming around so quick for us all. Praying for BFPs!!

So, I'm not sure when to do the pregnancy test. Clinic said first wee of the day. Problem is that since I started ivf I've been waking up in the night-going to loo at least once a night (probably because I'm drinking more than usual)..so should I test when I wake up (E.g. 3/4am) or normal getting up time-7ish??

How is everyone doing today? One day closer to test day. Hoping we all get good news.

Scream - I would tend to choose normal waking up wee at 7am. If you test at 3am what ever the result is you're highly unlikely to get any more sleep for rest of night!
Gosh, in some ways this 2WW has went in pretty quickly. Do you something find you're busy at home/work then suddenly it pops in your head that you might actually be preganat? It's hard not to get over excited!

So just to confirm Scream you're testing tomorrow, bluebird3 you are Friday, , gigglingbiscuit you and I are Saturday, when is your OTD Elleceedee?
Do any of you have any new symptoms?

Yep I'm on Saturday but no symptoms what so ever so feeling like it's not gonna work for me this time TBH. I think it's a good point about testing at 7am- you would never get any sleep either way if you tested in the night!

At the minute, I'm not sure we are going to get any sleep tonight lol.

No real symptoms at the moment...had slightly sore/ tickle boobs and they look huge. Hubbie keeps commenting...

Good luck scream! Glad you asked about what time to poas because I've been the same with waking up at 3am every night. Just can't sleep properly with so much in my mind. Roll on Friday!!!

Thanks ShaunT! So there is literally no chance of much sleep tonight lol. I so hope I have good news to share tomorrow. My husband and I have just argued- probably mainly coz we are stressed (but he was also being an idiot). All calmed down a bit now.

I can't believe it...I'm pregnant. I'm in shock. Was convinced I wasn't. I'm pregnant. Am utterly in shock. Thanks so much for everyone's support. So hope everyone else is positive. Good luck for Fri bluebird. Got my fingers crossed for you all.

Thanks so much! Just to reassure you all...a lot of the time I've felt nothing these last few weeks (except fed up). I've not had any inplantation bleeding.
Not sure if I should do it again tomorrow, just in case? It was a clear blue digital. I'm sure it's fine. Yikes!
