Trying for #2 - mid cycle bleeding

We've been trying for number 2 for about 16 months (DD1 was about 9/10 months when we first started). DD took about 2 years to conceive with assistance of clomid.

My cycle is very regular, always has been, until yesterday. I have a usual cycle of around 27-28 days and I generally ovulate between day 10 and 13. However this month I'm currently on day 13 of my cycle and I'started bleeding quite heavily.

Has anyone ever had this and successfully fallen pregnant again? I'm slightly worried I might be getting to the point where I'm too old to conceive again as I will be 41 this year. Just looking for some advice if anyone has experienced similar

I actually had this happen to me just last week. Same as you, always a regular cycle so a bleed on day 14 was really unusual and a bit frightening. Went to the gp and was told it was a cervical ectropion- that having intercourse likely aggravate it and caused a bleed. Nothing to worry about. Obviously there's no way of knowing if this is also the case for you, a visit to the gp might put your mind at ease. Also make sure your smears are up to date

Thanks for the reply. I doubt very much whether it would be from intercourse as although we are trying it's been a bit lax lately.
I did wonder whether it could be a miscarriage but a clear blue pregnancy test said I wasn't pregnant so can't imagine it being that. May pay the go a visit and see if they can shed any light but smears are definitely up to date. Smile

The sex wasn't particularly vigorous by the way!! Apparently if there's an ectropian there any bit of irritation could cause it to bleed. Best of luck
